The space SNOWDROP COTTAGE OVERVIEW Snowdrop Cottage is a beautifully renovated countryside retreat nestled at the foot of Codden Hill in the heart of Devon’s stunning Taw Valley. Perfect for walkers, couples, friends, and families seeking peace and comfort, this charming cottage is positioned beside the gently flowing River Taw and surrounded by miles of scenic trails and open landscapes. With easy access to footpaths, picturesque river walks, and the panoramic views atop Codden Hill, it’s an ideal base for both leisurely rambles and more adventurous hikes. Just a short stroll away is the welcoming Chichester Arms - a traditional English country pub serving locally sourced food, ales, and wines. Snowdrop Cottage combines modern living with rustic tranquility, offering a perfect escape with all the conveniences of home. LIVING AREA The spacious upstairs living area is filled with natural light and features an open-plan design combining the lounge, dining space, and kitchen. Relax on comfy seating with a flatscreen TV, Freeview, Bluetooth speaker, books, and board games. A cozy electric fire adds warmth and ambiance during cooler evenings - perfect for unwinding after a long walk in the countryside. KITCHEN The well-equipped modern kitchen provides everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay, including an electric oven, hob, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, blender, cafetière, and kettle. A full range of cookware, utensils, and tableware is provided for preparing everything from simple snacks to hearty family meals. BEDROOMS Snowdrop Cottage offers three comfortable bedrooms, all featuring zip-linkable beds that can be arranged as super king-size doubles or twins - please confirm your preferred configuration when booking. Each bedroom includes a 24” TV with Freeview. The ground floor bedroom benefits from underfloor heating for added comfort. BATHROOMS Upstairs, a stylish family shower room features a rainfall shower head, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail, and shaving port. Downstairs, a convenient additional WC is also equipped with a basin, shaving port, and underfloor heating. Soft bath towels are included for all guests. OUTDOORS The outdoor area offers a peaceful setting with a raised decked space and picnic bench, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Steps lead down to a sunny, gravelled courtyard - ideal for relaxing in the fresh air. For the ultimate indulgence, guests can add use of the covered hot tub (available for an extra charge), a perfect way to wind down under the stars after a day exploring the Devon countryside. Secure, gated off-road parking is available for up to three vehicles.
