Upper Woods Cabin: Cabin near Elk mountain

This cabin is set at the top of a mountain and has beautiful views on all sides of the surrounding nature and mountainside below. It's the perfect spot for a cozy winter weekend away or a week of hiking and adventuring in the summer. Located just a short drive from the charming mountain towns of Honesdale, Cochecton & Callicoon and only 30 minutes from the slopes at Elk Mountain you'll be sure to find plenty to do- or just stay in, watch the snow and do nothing at all if that's what you prefer. The space This cozy cabin has two bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms. On the first floor you'll find the living room with beautiful vaulted ceilings, plenty of super comfortable seating, and a large SmartTV so you can cozy up with a blanket and glass of coffee or wine and watch all of your favorite shows. We don't think you'll miss channel television (we don't have satellite or cable- but you can always connect to your Dish or Xfinity subscription via the apps on the SmartTV). Please note that this is a rural area and while the wifi is reliable, we can not be responsible for wifi outages. Off of the living room you'll find the first queen bedroom. This room features a beautiful window seat with a large picture window so you'll wake up to views of the forest outside. The kitchen and dining room have the most spectacular views of the property- large windows in this area show off the stunning mountainside (lush green trees in the spring and summer, brilliant foliage in the fall or snow covered landscape in the winter). Through the sliding French doors you'll find a large deck to use when the weather is warm. The kitchen is fully stocked with a pan set, skillet, toaster, knife block, flatware, glasses, wine goblets, cooking utensils etc. Appliances include refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, Kuerig (Kcups are not provided), and microwave. Bring your own spices, oil and condiments. Upstairs in the loft you'll find an additional queen sized bedroom and the full bathroom. All bedrooms have plenty of closet space for your stay. The basement has an additional (small) full bathroom and laundry area. We've also recently added a queen bed and a pullout sofa bed to sleep four guests in this area. Outdoors you'll find a propane grill and fire pit area. The Pocono Mountains offer endless activities and things to see so whether you're looking for winter sports, water activities in the summer, hiking, boating, horse back riding, or even a petting zoo for the kids this is the place to visit. On nights that you decide to take a break and skip cooking dinner (we don't blame you- you're on vacation after all) Honesdale, Cochecton, and Callicoon all have a variety of delicious dining options and all a 20 minute drive or less. You're surrounded by nature but just a short drive 20 minutes from the charming town of Honesdale. There are so many fun activities in the Poconos so whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation this is a great choice. Entry is with a keypad entry (code provided 24 hours prior to check in).
