The Farriers - Cycling,Trails,Pretty Villages

Beautifully converted barn situated in a peaceful location in the Southern Peak District close by to the hamlet of Pikehall. The Farriers is on two levels, and suitable for large families, sleeping five and a infant. Croft Farm is the perfect place for those who love to explore the outdoors, having direct private access onto The High Peak Trail. Bring your bikes! Centrally located for Buxton,Matlock,Bakewell and a short drive to Alton Towers. Pubs/Tea rooms/Restaurants located locally. The Farriers is for sole use, with a patio area to the rear, along with a shared lawn area for enjoying the summer sunshine. A fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances for those who love to cook! Free WiFi throughout the property. Please note I do not provide towels... We have private direct access onto the High Peak Trail - perfect for those who love exploring the outdoors. Bring your bikes and store them in our secure barn. Explore and delight the younger members of the family with great traffic free cycling on the trails. Guests can access all areas of the cottage private patio with shared lawn area. Parking available on site for all guests in the car parking area Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to maintain social distancing I will not be doing my usual welcome visit. However, should you need anything at all I will be available by phone or email. Our cottage is located in the southern Peak District surrounded by beautiful countryside. We are central for visiting many of the attractions within the local area - these include, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Carsington Water, Gullivers Kingdom and Alton Towers. We are in a quiet location but the towns of Matlock, Ashbourne and Bakewell are just a short drive away. We are in a rural location, therefore a car is needed for your stay, there is plenty of off road parking on site. The nearest bus route 3 miles, nearest train is 6 miles. There are many villages just a 5-10 minute drive away which have small village shops for your essential. Or the towns of Matlock, Ashbourne and Bakewell are just a little further away with a large range of shops and major supermarkets. Whatever the season, summer for the trails - High Peak, Tissington and Monsal Trail. Spring for walks and the treasure hunts at Carsington Water and Ilam Hall. Autumn for the Country Fair at Chatsworth, Halloween trails and fabulous fireworks at Alton Towers. Winter is for the cosy log burners and the spectacular Christmas Markets at Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.
