Stroll down through the Cascades to the Esplanade with stylish Tapas bar at The Metropole, seaside attractions, children’s paddling pool and the popular family pub The Spyglass Inn with spectacular sea views. The ‘New England’ style harbour, Ventnor Haven, is home to Blakes Fishery offering excellent fish and chips and locally caught seafood including crab and lobster. From the Esplanade you can take a level walk, along the sea wall to the pretty village of Bonchurch with it’s literary history, wildlife pond and popular Bonchurch Inn. In the opposite direction, from ‘La Falaise’ car park, stroll along the cliff path to Steephill Cove, a beautiful sheltered bay with much charm including deck chairs for hire; various cafes offering fantastic locally caught fish and seafood; great crabbing and where tea/coffee is still served in a “Steephill Cove” mug.
