The perfect getaway! Spend your days enjoying downtown Halifax and your evenings watching the sunset over the lake with a glass of your favorite bevvy. We are located on Moody Lake, 22 minutes from Downtown Halifax. The perfect spot to relax and recharge. Sunsets here are a must see! Mobility - There are multiple stairs to and from the unit We love hosting and hope you feel comfortable. Please remember that this is our home. Please take care of it as if it was your own. The space Spacious 1 bedroom walk out basement suite. The master bedroom includes a queen size bed, 32” TV, bedside lamps with USB chargers, walk in closet, ironing board, iron, board games, desk/study area with a USB charging station. The family room includes a 50” Smart TV where you can log into all your streaming services. Side tables have USB chargers. The bed in the living room is a double size. ** Please request it be set up in advance** The full bathroom has a walk in shower, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, extra large towels and blow dryer. The kitchenette is equipped with dishes, cutlery, fridge, 2 burner hot plate, large toaster oven/air fryer, bullet blender, small microwave, electric kettle, toaster, French press and Keurig machine (coffee pods supplied for short stays). This space has ductless AC in the summer months and heat pump with in floor heating in the winter. In the summer months the lake facing patio has a full size BBQ, and lounge chairs. Things to note: *Unlimited Wifi** Mobility - There are multiple stairs to and from the unit Our property has security cameras at our main door/driveway and the chicken coop. All cameras face Coop door/driveway. No cameras face private spaces. **While our space can accommodate 4 guests our limit for more than 2 people is 7 days **this is due to the size of the space** We are located in rural Nova Scotia on lake front property surrounded by trees you will encounter: Ducks, Geese, Loons, Racoons, Squirrels, Rabbits, Minks, Flys (including gnats, black flies and Horse flys), Bees, Wasps, Spiders, Worms, Centipedes, Mosquitoes, Salamanders, Frogs and Toads. If windows are left open please expect that nature will make it's way in. We live in the upper levels of the house and have 2 large dogs, one is a puppy, you may hear him playing, barking, squeaking a toy. He is in training. We have 10 pet chickens and a bee hive you will hear/see them during your stay. The chickens can be talkative when laying eggs please expect to hear clucks. Guests have access to the fire pit, 2 stand up paddle boards, 2 Kayak's and fishing rods. *life jackets provided and must be worn* All water/ice sports are at your own risk as there is no life guard on duty Guest access Usage of large back yard, BBQ, garden, patio, lounge chairs, backyard has a tire swing, fire pit, firewood, private dock, 2 SUP boards, 2 kayak's, wet/dry bags. *life jackets must be worn* *Waiver must be signed* In the winter months the fire pit and ice skating are assessable. You might see or encounter wildlife while in our home or neighborhood, including, but not limited to: Bears, raccoon, skunk, birds, bees, wasps, mosquitoes, spiders, ants. These creatures reside in nature and we have no control over them. We cannot control mother nature and therefore do not refund if you encounter nature during your stay.
