My idyllic stone/log home is located near quaint Washington, Virginia, home of the famous "Inn at Little Washington". Secluded but accessible, it is perched on the edge of a foothill. Enjoy magnificent views, wonderful gardens and hiking trails at your front door. Only 1.5 hrs fom Washington, DC and 20 minutes from Shenandoah National Park or canoeing on Shenandoah River. Wineries, antique stores, quality restaurants and special music events abound. And Fido is welcome!! The space My unique, craftsman style stone and log home is an expanded and lovely restored and upgraded historic log cabin. The Master bedroom has a cathedral ceiling and all rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning. The 20x20 stone kitchen is excellent for entertaining, as is the patio which affords a magnificent view of a lush valley. There are hiking trails at your front door, and a well tended and loved acre of gardens. The property is situated 2 miles from quaint Washington, Va. In Rappahannock county. The county is a mecca for art, food and wine lovers. It is the home of the world famous Inn at Little Washington. Many other fine restaurants and wineries abound. With 6 art galleries, antique shops and even a small golf course, you will never be at a loss for things to do. It is near the Shenandoah Park and the Shenandoah River, for canoeing. Visit our local Rappahannock County tourism site for a slide show of views and listings of events, including the annual farm tour, art tour, film festival and Octoberfest. You will need your car to explore the bucolic countryside, with its many wineries and other attractions. Guest access Guests have the use of the entire house and property. It is situated on a private lane, so is secluded but only 2.8 miles from the village of Washington , Virginia, which is a tourism mecca and home of the famous five star restaurant, the Inn at Little Washington. The county is home to 6 art galleries and five wineries, as well as craft beer and liquor distilleries. Nestled into 3 acres of wooded land, and backing onto mountain trails, you will enjoy nature. The patio provides magnificent views of the lush valley below the property. Other things to note I ask that people not smoke in the house, but they can use the patio to smoke. No parties are allowed, or loud music. We have Dish TV . And internet /WiFi Since this is my private home, I ask that you treat it with the loving care I do!
