Living Room, outdoor areas, and the Second floor family room is available for relaxing, watching TV and movies. Streaming internet shows are available. WiFi internet. Front porch & rear gardens nicely landscaped and amazingly private. During your stay I plan to socialize with my guests, but respect those guests who prefer a quieter environment. Our family motto is "No empty seats," a reference to filling the dinner table with family and friends. We love to meet new people. We live a relaxed lifestyle and want you to make yourself at home (but rinse & stack your own dishes except for weekend brunch). The front porch is our favorite place to be on any pleasant evening, chatting with friends and strangers as they walk by. We enjoy sharing details about the amenities and history of our local village of Clifton and about the wonderful City of Cincinnati. Other things to note Cincinnati contains more interesting events and history than most outsiders can imagine. Mark Twain is reported to have said "When the world ends I want to be in Cincinnati because everything happens 10 years later there." He definitely wasn't talking about today's Cincinnati. Within 5 miles of Buddy's BnB there are more theaters, music venues, outdoor festivals, parks, museums, restaurants and bars than most folks would imagine. There is a historical area called OTR (Over the Rhine) that is midstream into a great revival of commerce and entertainment. The revival also includes preservation of the country's largest number and concentration of historic Italianate buildings. Craft breweries are blossoming everywhere, reviving a great tradition of Cincinnati's past. Findlay Market is the oldest standing structure (in the U.S.) built to house an open air food market. Today it thrives with both farm-fresh food, arts & crafts & a few gourmet cafes, and the ever-present beer garden. Around town there are dozens of other farmer's markets. See the architecturally stupendous Music Hall with recently rebuilt Washington Park, the front yard of Cincinnati where family friendly events occur almost daily from spring to fall. See the Art Deco Union Terminal with its famous mosaics, visit historic Fountain Square and the newest stadium of the Cincinnati Reds, the Reds Baseball Hall of Fame, the Underground Railroad Museum (Cincinnati was a hotbed of covert transport of slaves from South to North), Ohio River front parks, and bicycle a jumble of city bicycle trails. Most recently, our long awaited downtown streetcar began running a 4 mile loop around greater downtown, stopping at all the best attractions of the heart of the city. Now completely Free. Stop #11 is at the front door of Rhinegeist Brewery, where there is a gigantic tasting room with views of the tanks & other Brewery activities. No food service is provided, but Adriatico's Pizza (NY style) delivers almost non-stop. Rhinegeist recently added a rooftop bar that has a glorious perspective on the City. There are several other breweries/restaurants on the streetcar line including Taft's Alehouse & Christian Moerlein Alehouse (river front dining). Off the streetcar line we can point you at another half dozen craft breweries around town. Besides breweries & other well-known local events, ask about local wine shops, off-beat art galleries, quiet dining, major gathering spots, live music venues, quiet hiking spots, the latest hot spots & treasures that only the locals know.
