The space Whether you want to hang out on the deck enjoying the tree house like views or cozy up in front of the fireplace the cabin is ready for a relaxing mountain getaway. Perfect for couples or a large family with a beautiful loft-style king master suite and a second king bedroom with attached bathroom. The bonus room/theater that sleeps up to 6 is perfect for a 3rd couple or the kiddos. -The kitchen has dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, blender, wine glasses and just about everything you need to create a nice meal. -Chairs, cushions and hammocks for the deck. - Theater room has Netflix, apple tv and Amazon Prime plus other Apps that you can log into to have a great movie night. (There are no cable channels) Layout of the cabin and property~ The large "A framed style" cabin is built on a hillside with beautiful forest views. Around the cabin has a mixture of large granite boulders, mature oak and pine trees and two decks. The cabin has two points of access. When you go to the address listed it ends in a cul-de-sac where you will see the cabin up on the hill on the right side. There are several sets of stairs that lead to the lower side of the cabin. We also have private access road that leads to the cabin driveway. When you park in the driveway at the top side of the property where there is a wood walkway that leads to the main deck. There are 2 steps down to the deck that leads to the front door. The main floor has the kitchen, living room, 1 bedroom with a king bed and attached bathroom, shower and laundry room. Upstairs is the loft-style master suite with king bed and beautiful open bath room suite with soaking tub and walk in shower. Curtains have been added to the loft for privacy but many keep them open to enjoy view out the 24' tall "A" framed windows. Downstairs is a spectacular bonus/theater room with a cinema screen and movie projector to watch your favorite movies. A great place for kids to sleep or a third couple with 2 Futon style double beds and a queen size Murphy Bed. *Pets are not to be left in the cabin alone. They must be with guests at all times. Please keep pet on a leash when outside. Dangerous animals are in the area and the property is not completely fenced in. Always pick up after your pet and dispose of properly. No pets on the furniture or bedding. Guest access The whole cabin is yours to enjoy. Except for locked supply closets. Also, make sure you read parking instructions especially during the snow season. This affects where you will be parking during your stay. If there is snow or ice do not park in the driveway. Other things to note We will allow early check-in and later check out when possible. It's very dark at night and it is HIGHLY recommended you arrive at the cabin during daylight hours. The address will take you to the cul-de-sac below the property. You may temporarily park in the cul-de-sac as long as it is not snowing. Snowplows need access to the street or you may get towed. There is access up the stairs to the lower deck of the cabin. Walk up to the top deck where the front door is for entry. Parking is at the topside of the property off the 243. A private access road leads down to the cabin. You will see a wood fence and to the right is the driveway opening. Go through the chain link fence area and turn around and then turn left into the driveway. Directions to the private access road will be sent after booking. SNOW… The snowy season can start in early November and last as late as Mothers day in May. If there is snow we will do our best to have the access road plowed but you will need chains and an possibly an all wheel drive vehicle to make it up the access road if its snowy or icy. At checkout it will be the guests responsibility to shovel snow or call to have someone plow or shovel the access road. A list is in the cabin or I will send you a list of recommended snow guys through airbnb. Winter Weather: Cabin Elevation 5700 4WD/AWD or chains may be required to get in and out of the access road during wintery weather. Always carry snow chains during the winter months if there is any chance of snow. DO NOT park in the driveway if there is snow. You can park at the top of the access road or if the access road is plowed you can park in the chain link fence area as long as you have chains for your vehicle to go back up the access road. Again, DO NOT park in the driveway if there is snow. For Holiday Bookings: We ask that you book your check in day before or after a major holiday. New Years day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Firewood is available in town at the hardware store and grocery stores plus a few side road stands. you may also bring bundles of firewood up to use in the main floor fireplace.
