Retro seaside home in the heart of Semaphore

A large renovated 1950s home that allows you to make the most of popular Semaphore, only minutes from Semaphore Road and the beach and with easy access to the rest of Adelaide. This retro haven combines mid-century class with all the modern comforts you would need as a family or friends group coming together. With large, bright bedrooms, a big, north facing open living area and a dedicated outdoor entertaining area and garden, the house has everything you need for a relaxing stay by the beach. The space More about us, the house and the area: After many years living and travelling overseas, we’ve now made Semaphore our home and love the idea of sharing it with others when we can. So if you want to stay somewhere with the welcoming atmosphere and personal touch of a home but the amenities of a hotel, with a little bit of mid-century charm thrown in, then this is the place for you! You will have the house all to yourself, with 2 x queen bed rooms, 1 x twin room with 2 king single beds (which can be joined for couples) and a study/extra entertainment room with 1 x double sofa bed. An additional small mattress (without bedding) is available if you need to squeeze in an extra child. Two of the rooms have desks for anyone that may need to do some work. Main features include: - Large open plan living and dining and big, bright bedrooms, all with venetian blinds - WiFi, smart TV with streaming apps, and small selection of board and outdoor games provided - Space to store and hang clothes in every room, as well as access to a central built-in wardrobe - Two bathrooms, both with showers, and one with a bathtub and separate toilet - Secure double lockup garage - Large outdoor space with lounge, dining table, barbeque and lawn area - Fully ducted air conditioning and heating, as well as ceiling fans in all bedrooms; reverse cycle air conditioning in main living area - Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and laundry with washing machine - Highchair and extra child’s mattress available - 1950s charm combined with modern amenities and appliances - On quiet, tree-lined street only a block from the sea and the attractions of Semaphore Road, with easy access to Port Adelaide, the Western suburbs and Adelaide CBD. Semaphore really is the place to be these days. There is something for everyone – from beautiful white sandy beaches, to family seaside entertainment, to pubs with live music, to independent shops and artists, to quirky little cafes and bars. You can walk to all of the main attractions and public transport from the house so you’re free to truly relax and enjoy your holiday and all that Semaphore and Adelaide has to offer. Guest access You will have access to offsite parking via a double lock-up garage and there is also free parking out the front of the house. You can walk to many locations from the house: - 2 min to Semaphore Road - 4 min to Semaphore beach - 25 min to the history, art and entertainment scene of Port Adelaide (also only a 5 minute drive) - 10 min to Peterhead station to catch the train into the CBD - 1 min to catch the bus to various locations. Other things to note We may be flexible in regards to some of your requirements e.g. dates and mix of people staying, so please do message us if your requirements vary from what is available. The house is in a lovely, quiet, residential neighbourhood so it is ideal for small get-togethers for family and friends who will be staying at the house but it is not appropriate for large, raucous parties. We don’t allow additional guests on the premises unless requested in advance and we ask that you please keep noise to a minimum, particularly in the evenings after 10pm. Other notes: - The fourth bedroom/study contains a full size double sofa bed with additional memory foam and mattress topper which can comfortably sleep 2 adults, however this will still not be at the same level of comfort as the other bedrooms with normal beds. - Unfortunately we can't accommodate pets at our house.
