Here’s a quick guide to help you make the most of your stay: **The Tiny House** **Size & Comfort:** The tiny house is cozy with a full-size bed in the bedroom. If you need a larger bed, please check our other listings: The Cottage or The Chapel. **Air Conditioning:** The house stays cool thanks to the trees, but there is a window AC unit if you need extra comfort. **Décor:** White wood, plaid accents, and rustic Amish-made log furniture will make you feel right at home in the countryside. **Outdoor Fun** **Walking Paths & Wildlife:** Explore our 14-acre property with walking paths through the woods. Watch for bunnies, deer, and turkey in the garden and along the paths. The lower lawn is a great spot for catching a glimpse of the neighborhood deer early in the morning or evening. **Firepit:** Across the driveway, enjoy the firepit with wood typically available for your use. Let us know if you'd like us to prepare it for your stay. Cozy up with one of our specific blankets for warmth (outdoor blankets are in the basket near the glass sliding door), and don’t forget the s’mores! **Porch & Dining:** Relax on the porch with a drink, or use the bistro table for outdoor meals. A citronella pot helps keep pests away so you can enjoy the fresh air. **The Kitchenette** **Stocked & Ready:** You’ll find a two-burner stovetop, toaster oven, microwave, crockpot, toaster and a Keurig coffee maker. There’s also a full set of cookware, dinnerware, glasses, and mugs. **Coffee & Essentials:** Starter coffee pods, sugar, and creamer are provided. You may need to pick up more depending on your length of stay. **Grill:** Let us know if you’d like to use the grill, and we’ll have it set up for you. **Entertainment & Relaxation** **TV & Movies:** There’s an HDTV digital antenna with local channels, and we have a selection of DVDs available for your viewing pleasure. If you need more options, send us a quick text, and we’ll show you additional titles. **Games & Reading:** Unwind by the fireplace with a good book or a puzzle. We also provide some board games and reading materials for your relaxation. **No Wi-Fi:** This is a true getaway, so there’s no Wi-Fi, but most carriers have cell service. **Additional Amenities** **Laundry:** If you need to use the washer and dryer, just reach out to us, and we’ll arrange access to ours. **EV Charger:** We’ve added an EV charger for guests with electric vehicles. Feel free to use it during your stay. **Please Note:** **Wildlife & Hunting:** You might hear gunshots during hunting season, as the area is rural, but please rest assured that hunting is not allowed on our property. **Pets:** We maintain a pet-free environment due to health reasons. We ask that you respect the posted signs from our neighbors. Just a short walk away, you'll find a seasonal pond. Please note that since we're in a wooded area, bug spray is recommended. As you explore, you’ll come across a picnic area in the lower lawn, as well as a swing near the lower firepit. If you're interested in playing horseshoes, let us know! We’d be happy to set up the horseshoe pit. Feel free to explore the garden, where you'll find a variety of flowers, as well as seasonal fruits and vegetables. You are welcome to sample the fresh produce while you enjoy the space. Other things to note Important Information for Your Stay: Amish Horse and Buggies: Be aware that Amish horse and buggies share the road, and they are harder to see at night. Please drive with caution, especially in rural areas. Amish Stores: Local Amish stores are closed on Sundays. They also only accept cash or checks—credit cards are not accepted. Alternative Units: If this unit isn't available during your desired dates, we encourage you to consider our other properties: The Cottage or The Chapel. Communication: After inquiring or requesting to book, please check your messages. We typically send a message before approving any booking requests. EV Charger: We’ve added a charging point for electric vehicles. If you need to use it during your stay, let us know. Checkout Instructions: For checkout, we ask that you pick up after yourself. We'll take care of stripping the bed, gathering towels, and taking out the trash. Pet Policy: As we use these units for personal staycations and due to serious health issues, we maintain a pet-free environment.
