Description

Would you like to laze around by the large pool, splash in the river or visit one of the beautiful villages or caves in the area? Welcome to this authentic 'mas' on the hill, away from the crowds and close to everything you could wish for. Take the exit just before Cahors, on the A20 southbound, and your vacation really starts. The road winds through the beautiful Parc Naturel Régional et Géoparc des Causses de Quercy, and 30 minutes later you are lying in the heated swimming pool. Aperitif? The space How many people can you bring? This villa is located on a 12-acre property with a fenced garden of about 3/4ha. There are 3bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Upstairs: bedroom 1 with double bed and private bathroom (toilet, shower and bath) and bedroom 2, with two single beds combinable. Downstairs: bedroom 3 with double bed and bathroom (toilet and shower). Living room with TV corner, dining table and tuned (!) grand piano. Step outside and you are right by the 11x5m pool, shaded by the covered outdoor terrace with seating area and utility room. Half a floor up is the large kitchen with Lacranche stove and the terrace with dining table and large barbecue. Rosemary, sage and thyme can be picked from the many bushes. Both inside and on the terrace there is internet that is fast enough to keep your most demanding adolescent happy. Inside you watch digital TV (chromecast and Netflix) and in just about the whole house you can dance to the tones of the Sonos sound system. The pool table in the basement converts into a ping pong table in no time. At 25m from the villa there is a comfortable and fully equipped guest house of 100m2 with sleeping accommodation for up to 4 people. This house is not rented separately during the summer months, but can be rented as an additional privacy accommodation for parents or in case of a larger group. Guest access The property is fully fenced and closed with an electric gate. Private parking for 4 cars within the fence. Spacious cellar accessible via outside door to store (racing) bikes. The house has limited wheelchair access: through the path you reach the front door, living room, bedroom with double bed and the pool. Kitchen and upper terrace with bbq are only accessible by stairs. Feel free to ask for more information. Other things to note Conjure up a cool glass of wine from the pantry and treat the folks back home to a selfie with a view of the valley behind you. There is no need to light the large barbecue on the upper terrace, because it works on gas. Handy. So you have all the time in the world to make plans for tomorrow: -Dive into the heated saltwater pool early in the morning (no stinging chlorine eyes!). -Get the best croissants in Cabrerets. -Go to see the cave paintings of Pêche-Merle (10 km away). -Walk 500m to the beach below and dive into the Célé. -Try an artisanal ice cream in beautiful Marcilhac-sur-Célé (8 km). -Shop in Cajarc and take your time for a pastis. -Reserve at the typical French restaurant of Espédaillac. -Rent a kayak and explore the Célé. -Cruise by car along the beautiful valleys and villages. -Visit the artists' village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. -Explore one of the many hiking trails in the area (GR651) . -Marvel at the falling stars and the milky way. -Take a boat trip on the Lot. -Stop at the museum of curiosities (and really get inside). -Go shopping in Toulouse (with airport) in 1.5 hours. -Make room in the trunk for some wine from Cahors (40 min). -Hike, bike, go horseback riding, wall climbing, fishing ... -or decide that you just want to enjoy yourself. Saulliac-sur-Célé is situated in the middle of 'Le Triangle Noir Du Quercy'. Within this dark triangle every village puts out its lights at night. Planets, the Milky Way and dozens of shooting stars appear there night after night in a literally brilliant starry sky.
