The cottage has views of the valley and is set in a hectare of grounds laid out by the owner's grandparents. The main bedroom is above the Waiau river; the twin room opens onto a veranda overlooking the grounds. A private west-facing verandah overlooks the river directly below, with seating, a dining table, Weber BBQ. There is an eco natural swimming pond in the grounds. The river is suitable for experienced swimmers and kayakers with rainbow & brown trout. Mahia Beach and or Morere Hot Springs are 50 minutes away Lake Waikaremoanais a 35-minute drive. The Cottage is 80 minutes drive from Napier Airport or 60 minutes from Gisborne.
