Château de Saint-Léons, historic 15th century residence

In its green setting, the Château overlooks the small village of Saint-Léons, the birthplace of Jean-Henri Fabre, a famous naturalist and the Cité des Insectes Micropolis. Awarded in 2012 for its respectful restoration by the Restoration Prize awarded by the "Vieilles Maisons de France", the Château does not deviate from current comfort, with, among other things, fiber, a contemporary kitchen, spacious rooms, queen size bedding, central heating, a Home cinema and a swimming pool. Introduction While the Castle has regained its medieval elements such as machicolations, merlons, and slate roof, the interior restoration harmoniously combines tradition and contemporary. Floor tiles on the ground floor, lime plaster, stone walls, natural pigments, alongside an equipped and functional kitchen, bathrooms with walk-in showers, fiber internet... The building is 20 meters long and 8 meters wide, and is divided into 4 levels: - The ground floor with the Kitchen Dining Room overlooking two terraces and the Living Room. In the 2 corner towers, a wine cellar and an office/TV area have been set up. The central tower serves the upper floors. - The 1st floor. Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2, each with their own private dressing room and bathroom - The 2nd floor. Bedroom 3 and Bedroom 4, each with its own private bathroom. Bedroom 5 called "Children's" with its toilet - The 3rd floor. Bedroom 6, with its Kitchenette, Bathroom and toilet. The large Library offers a Reading Corner, a Desk and a Home Theater. Bedrooms have been customized with different styles. Additional cleaning, catering or babysitting services can be arranged for an additional fee. The 2.5-hectare park is planted with remarkable trees: cedars, pines, linden trees, hornbeams... It is punctuated by distinct areas, such as the orchard, the vegetable garden, the large tree-lined alleys, the apiary, the rose garden... The Park is equipped with a professional lighting and sound system (Bose speakers). Your musical choices will accompany your walks and your moments of relaxation. Coupled with the lighting of the Château and the Park, you will fully enjoy the charm of the place. For your stay, we have developed suggestions for activities, restaurants and days of discovery that you will find in our "guide". Other things to note The park is completely private, so you will have its exclusive use. The lighting of the Park and the Castle as well as the outdoor sound system are at your disposal. For young children, we prefer to warn our guests that the interior design, steps, stairs, windows and the different levels of the park may be unsuitable. However, we leave our guests the choice and responsibility for the safety of young children. The guardians of the estate, Mathieu and Angeline, reside in the former Chapel of the Castle, just outside.
