Description

Spacious residential home between St Ives and Carbis Bay. Peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle with blue flag beaches and local amenities within easy reach. 60 m2 open plan kitchen/dayroom, large patio and flat garden, 4 double bedrooms, 1 twin room, 3 bathrooms, 2 lounges and parking for 4 cars. Only 5 minutes walk to the southwest coast path, 20 mins to St Ives' cafes, bars, restaurants & Tate Gallery. Enjoy quality family time. The space The large front entrance takes you to an impressive bright and airy vaulted hallway. On the right-hand side is a relaxing second lounge complete with smart tv, a range of Laura Ashley furniture, and a fireplace with a gas fire. Straight ahead, go down two steps and enter the fabulous slate floored, open plan day-room. Four huge windows combine to give 11 m of glass and lovely views of the garden and patio area. With three large skylights in this space, you are sure to enjoy a pleasantly bright, well-lit room. Two giant sliding doors open effortlessly and create an incredible feeling of the 'outside-in'. The furnished patio has two sets of seating, a Webber Bar-B-Que, and there is additional seating placed at different points around the garden. A stunning white " Siematic " kitchen is at one end of the day room. It has two dishwashers and two ovens, and these are perfect when entertaining a large group of family or friends. A separate utility room located behind a closed-door off the kitchen contains a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional sink, drying racks and a microwave. In the middle of the day room is the dining table; it can seat 10 when additional seats are placed at either end of the table. At the far end of the room are three very comfortable Laura Ashley settees and another smart tv. The property has two extensive lawned gardens both front and back, and the many mature trees are a haven for birds and wildlife. Being close to Steeple Woods, a variety of different birds visit most days. The summerhouse contains a croquet set and a badminton set for guests to use, there is a desk space, and you can store beach equipment, surfboards, etc. Plus, there is plenty of hanging space to dry wetsuits. Walking back to the hallway, you can take the stairs to double bedrooms 4 and 5. A glass galleried landing separates them, and there is an office desk with a chair. Alternatively, continue downstairs and, on the right, is bedroom 3, with two twin beds and a patio door that leads out to the front garden. Along the corridor is bedroom 2, a double room with a pine chest of drawers, and it has wooden slatted blinds. Immediately next door is the main bathroom - a large room with a slate floor, deep roll-top bath, large shower, sink unit with vanity mirror and a heated towel rail. Adjacent is another slate floored bathroom, this time with a large shower cubicle, sink, storage unit, chair and heated towel rail. The corridor takes you to a generously sized double bedroom with three large mirrored wardrobes, a super king bed, a double sofa bed and enough space for a travel cot. Please let us know if you would be interested in this option. This room has patio doors that lead to a raised seating area that has three steps down to the rear garden. Guest access The driveway can accommodate 4 cars and there is free parking on the road outside the property. The nearest bus stops are just a few minutes walk and the service is very regular. There are a number of taxi firms in the area and many have large seaters that can be booked in advance. A typical taxi up from town only costs about £6. Other things to note For those wishing to self-cater, all major supermarkets deliver to the door, there are many delivery based takeaway options and the nearest Tesco is just 5 minutes walk. Alternatively, the local pub is a 2 minute walk away and serves food. We are on the doorstep of the Tregnna Castle Estate and their facilities are open to the public. Likewise, the Carbis Bay Estate's amenities are also available and there are day rate options to access the pool, sauna and steam rooms at Una, St Ives.
