Maison Marguerite, near a lake

La Maison Marguerite welcomes you in a peaceful environment. This gite was originally a fully renovated 18th century stone farmhouse. Le Mouy vieux is located right next to the village of Vernet la Varenne. You will find a weekly market, a butcher shop, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a tobacconist, a bar, a bakery... Hiking, pleasure lake, tree climbing, educational farm... many authentic activities await you all around. The space The cottage has its own terrace and private garden with stunning views of the mountains and surrounding countryside. Our cottage will offer you all the comforts you need for your stay with: * A spacious family room (a large comfortable double bed, and two small single beds.) A sitting area. Functional fireplace. * A small lounge area * A dining area and equipped kitchen, microwave, gas stove, electric oven, filter coffee maker * A bathroom with a vanity unit, bathtub, toilet. * A large covered terrace with a large south-facing farm table, garden furniture and a BBQ. The terrace overlooks a large garden with lawn, swing to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Cantal mountains. * From the terrace, stairs lead to the annex with twin beds, ideal for your family or friends (not suitable for young children and the elderly), also shares bathroom facilities with the Marguerite house. Guest access The entire home and its terrace are private, so only accessible to guests. Other things to note We provide you with bed linen, as well as a small towel and a washcloth per person. The cottage is located in our property in the countryside with two other cottages and our own house. Each gite is completely independent, and has its own exterior without any vis-à-vis. We'll keep you quiet throughout your stay. The Marguerite cottage is adjoining the kitchen wall of the owner's accommodation. The orientation of the houses makes it possible to have no one overlooking on either side, guaranteeing calm and privacy for all.
