Stroll 3 blocks to City Market/coffee bar/deli. 3 blocks to Denna’ina Convention Center. Short jog to Lagoon and Coastal Trail. Huge deck with gas grill. Well-equipped kitchen with coffee maker, pots, pans and pantry essentials. Fast WiFi, 50" smart TV, heated garage parking. This lofty 1-bedroom apartment is perched above a detached garage, accessed from a quiet alley. The decor is Scandi-modern. Brand new in 2020. Kitchen has all the essential cooking equipment and new appliances. Drip coffeemaker, French press, grinder and a starter supply of fresh coffee beans. The living area has tons of windows yet feels very private. L-shaped couch. The long table makes for a great desk to spread out on. And those MCM dining chairs? Vintage Danish modern. (From my childhood home. I adore them) Bedroom has a queen-sized bed and black-out blinds. (For families or two couples, the spare is a queen-sized Aerobed. It’s far more comfortable than a sofa-bed. There are also two single trifold mattresses - about 4” of foam.) The spacious south-facing deck has a long dining table for entertaining. The downstairs mud room is perfect for shedding outer layers. Private laundry located on the ground level. And wait until you try the shower! You've got the whole apartment to yourself! Detached garage below the unit is shared with house at the front of the lot -- one space each. No-contact check-in. Access is by a digital keypad lock. Please note: The garage is a standard size. The parking spot in it is 21' long. It fits SUVs and cars. Please don't rent a monster truck. It will be harder to maneuver and you might want to check that it will fit. If you must have an oversized vehicle, street parking is a good option and nearby. I'm Liz, the property owner. Often I live in the cottage at the front of the lot. I designed the Carriage House to be independent of the cottage, with plenty of privacy. We'll likely only cross paths if we happen to meet in the garage. Our cars share it. You'll have my cell phone number, or you can message me through AirBnB. Our leafy neighborhood is the best! It's cute and quiet yet an easy walk to downtown restaurants and brewpubs. I grew up nearby and always wanted to own a home right here. You can walk to restaurants & brewpubs downtown: 49th State, Crush, Humpy's, Simon & Seafort's, Snow City, Willawaw ... Fire Island Bakery and City Market are even closer. The Park Strip is a block away. It's a pleasant walk to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and Westchester Lagoon. The place is a 15 minute drive from the airport. The train station is only a mile away. The neighborhood is within walking distance of many parks, downtown eateries, a locally owned grocery store, the Anchorage Museum and the Coastal Trail. The neighborhood has nice sidewalks and the Carriage House is situated very close to a few bike-friendly roadways. If you plan to go to Midtown or beyond, a vehicle is recommended. Uber, Lyft, and multiple rental companies are easily accessible. Pets may be allowed, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL. We will ask many details about your pet. We are very particular and will not approve pets that we can't be sure will be a good fit for the Carriage House.
