Find us @corycottage The space Cory Cottage | An 1830 Historic Home with Ocean Views Cory Cottage is a beautifully preserved historic home dating to 1830, offering a thoughtful blend of old-world character and modern comfort in the heart of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea. Once owned by Canada’s first interior decorator, Kate Reed—who decorated many of the original CP hotels, including the nearby Algonquin—the house sits beside the iconic resort in one of the town’s most picturesque settings. Guests enjoy ocean views from the sunroom, private deck, and second-floor balcony. The home offers four distinctive bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. Two bedrooms have private garden access, one opens onto a balcony overlooking the water, and two feature deep soaker tubs. All bedrooms are appointed with Hamuq Organic Hybrid queen beds, quality linens, and flat-screen TVs. The main level includes a chef’s kitchen with high-quality appliances, a formal dining room with a gas fireplace, a comfortable living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and a quiet parlour overlooking the back garden. For additional space or privacy, a one-bedroom Coach House may be made available to guests of the main house by prior arrangement. The Coach House includes air conditioning, a kitchenette, sitting area with daybed, private bedroom with ensuite, and a balcony with garden views. (The Coach House is not rented separately.) Cory Cottage is well suited to family vacations, golf trips, and relaxed gatherings with friends—an elegant, character-rich base from which to enjoy St. Andrews. Guest access Guest have access to the entire house and large property which is about 1/2 acre. It is extremely private. Other things to note Hot water is provided by two tankless water heaters - it may take a minute to heat up but you will never run out. The kitchen is stocked with a good selection of pantry essentials including spices, flour, sugar, pasta, tomato paste, rice etc. These are there for your convenience and the next persons so if you finish something we ask that you replace it.
