There is a swimming area in the river that has a nice sandy bottom and at most is around 4ft deep. It is an excellent area to lounge on a floaty or play water games. Nearby attractions include: 1 mile from the Paul Bunyan Trail for biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter, 2 miles from Bluegrass Festival, 2 miles from Junkathon, 14 miles from Spider Lake ATV trails, 25 miles from Northern Lights Casino and Leech Lake.
