The 1+ acre property ends on the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, offering miles of walking and biking paths. NYC is 2 hours away. Wassaic Train station (Metro North) is 15 minutes away. The space Open 1st floor floor plan with living room, half bath, smart 55" TV with cable, dining area and fully stocked kitchen allows for entertaining or just relaxing with friends and family. 2nd story has 3 bedrooms (master bedroom includes 42" TV with Apple TV), 2 full bathrooms and laundry. Outside deck with stunning views has a cozy patio set, couch and new Weber grill. The property also has a fire-pit area with Adirondack chairs. Walk down the property (~100 yards) to the Rail Trail. Attached to the new home is a 100 year old rustic barn (not available for access) to add charm. Office Space: Guests can work from dining room table or we also have a desk in one of the bedrooms. Cleaning: - There are no decorative pillows on the beds. - We thoroughly wash all linens between stays including mattress covers and duvets (not just duvet covers). - Couch is lint rolled and thoroughly sprayed with disinfectant spray between stays. - The covers of the decorative pillows found on couch are washed between stays as well as couch throws. - Oven mitts and cooking apron are washed between stays. Bicycles We offer two bicycles for use during your stay. If interested, please inquire prior to commencement of rental. We would need to provide you with a code to unlock bicycles and a waiver would have to be signed and returned to owner prior to use. Please note helmets are not provided. Guest access Full use of the home. No access to garage or barn. Please note the wood stove/fireplace, though pictured, is not an amenity that is offered with the home and is not to be used. The wood stove/fireplace is not your typical fireplace therefore can be a hazard for novice users. Other things to note Being in the country does require some minor considerations. Cell phone service is spotty. Verizon works well from our 4G LTE extender, but other carriers are iffy. Our router has download speeds of over 400 MB/s on our 5G WiFi network. We stream movies frequently with no issues.
