Description
We absolutely love our house. It's a modernised 60s terraced house in a very quiet, friendly, green cul de sac in a brilliant part of central Bristol. It's the perfect mix of quiet and secluded, and central and easy to access to anywhere in town. I've renovated most of the house, with brand new kitchen and bathrooms, and have opened it up so that almost anywhere you are in the house, you can appreciate one of the best views in Bristol. It sits immediately on top of the city's biggest allotments, so you look out on a big, rolling, green vista, with the City Farm at the bottom - you may hear sheep and chickens in the morning. While it feels like you're in the heart of the countryside, you're in a very central part of Bristol, less than 10 mins walk from the city's most exciting street - Gloucester Road. We are looking for someone/ some people to enjoy the place and look after it while we're gone. Looking for quiet, respectful single/ couple/ family who will treat the place with great respect (I've been working tirelessly on making the place look good since I moved in and have put a huge amount of care and effort into the rooms). There are 3 double bedrooms, including the office/ bedroom which has a comfy double sofabed. There are 2 bathrooms, including an en suite shower bathroom attached to the top loft room. The loft room has a bifold door that opens on to a balcony with the best views on the street...and some of the best in the city. Sunrise and fireworks from here can be stunning! There is a sun room/ conservatory with dining table that overlooks the small back courtyard garden with whiskey barrel bar and bar stools. The garden gets great morning sun (highly recommend morning coffee out here), while the small front garden, with long garden bench, gets great afternoon sun. It's a perfect vantage point to explore the city, or just to relax and stay put. The wood-burner in my new sitting room makes for extra cosy evenings. The TV's a new 50inch 4K with all the main apps installed and subscribed (Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, BBC, 4oD). No parties or excessive late night noise please. 3 min walk from nearest shop: Coop Local. 3 min walk to The Farm pub (excellent local pub with very good food) 1-2 min walk from nearest bus stop. 1-2 min walk from nearest Voi scooter stand 3-4 min drive to Lidl, Aldi, Europcar 6 min drive from Tesco Extra (megastore), IKEA 12 min walk to Gloucester Road (or 6 min drive) Free parking on all surrounding roads. There's free parking on the cul de sac, though this can fill up in the evenings. There's almost always parking on Ashley Down Rd, right at the entrance to the cul de sac, and always parking on one of the neighbouring roads.
