This is our retreat, we are happy to share it with you and let it be yours as well! Our kitchen is equipped for cooking and hosting. We’ve also turned the garage into a game room with ping-pong, foosball, and some workout equipment. For the adventurer: We've got maps of the area for you use. Plenty of space to sort/store your gear while you're here and personal recommendations of trails, climbs and drives to take. For families traveling with littles: We've got you covered! We're equipped with a pack'n'play, baby gate and kid friendly dishes. Additionally, the full sized bunkbeds and single trundle bed are there for families traveling with kiddos. We also have a few games, books and puzzles for your use while you're here. For working-from-home professionals: where better to wfh than in the places you've always wanted to visit? Come here to work hard and play hard. With many of us working remotely right now, its an ideal time to take your family on an adventure and try out mountain living! We have a designated work space in one of the bedrooms set up for you with reliable internet. A note about Ouray prices: as you’re looking around for the right home and host you might notice Ouray’s average nightly prices seem high and wonder why. As of 2022 the city of Ouray has implemented a short-term rental tax that is included in your booking and is the reason for the higher average prices. We actually think this is a positive thing because the tax will go to providing long-term affordable housing for all the wonderful residents of Ouray that you’ll likely experience serving you a beer at the brewery on your vacation or guiding you through the canyon. It’s most beneficial for this little mountain town to not only be a great place to visit but a sustainable place to live. https://abnb.me/o5uJyCkGPtb Guest access Parking is free and just outside the townhome. We are in the hot springs parking lot, which is also a town overflow parking. Parking is stress free, and getting to the hot springs or walking to restaurants in town is a breeze. When we come we tend to walk everywhere in town and only drive to trailheads. EV Charge Station: there are 2 electric vehicle charge stations in the lot in front of the townhome so you can charge and keep an eye on your EV from the townhome while it charges. Other things to note Flexcation— if you’re taking this opportunity to work from home in our mountain townhome you should find the internet speed excellent and a designated workspace with a monitor in the upstairs bedroom. Ouray has 2 public via ferrata routes and 1 private one that are a great summertime adventure along the Uncompahgre River Gorge https://www.denverpost.com/2022/05/10/ouray-via-ferrata-open-new-upstream-route/ Hiking trails from the front door: one of our favorite things to do when we’re in Ouray is spend time of the trails and we love that we can access the Perimeter Trail and Silvershield right from our front door. If you do the entire Perimeter trail you will hit all of Ouray’s highlights: Cascade Falls, the Ice Park/via Ferrata park on the Uncompahgre River, Box Canyon falls (higher trail) and oak creek.
