Enjoy a stroll along the promenade with sunken garden and pier, with its working RNLI lifeboat station and museum, and end of pier theatre with year round entertainment. Excellent walking along the cliff top trail and 18-hole cliff top golf course and the club house nearby. Just 250 yards from the town centre with its wealth of shops. There are plenty of restaurants and inns to choose from. Sample the fresh seafood and shellfish, catch of the day may be purchased direct from the returning fishing boats or simply enjoy a choice of take out meals from the many restaurants. Events include the Folk Festival in May, Carnival Week (held during the third week in August), and fireworks over the water on New Year’s Day (weather permitting). The railway station is just a short walk away with connections to Norwich, the Broads and Sheringham. Catch a bus or drive to the Georgian town of Holt, 15 minutes away.
