Beautiful Hay Cottage

The cottage is located just out of the centre of Hay opposite the beautiful St Mary's Church. It is slightly quieter here than in the heart of the town but is still only a 5 minute walk into the centre. It is very easy to access the river walks, simply taking the path to the right of the church. The cottage is full of character with wooden beams, a wood-burning stove, the original fireplace in the bedroom, wooden flooring throughout the downstairs, and a beautiful south-facing garden. The cottage was built in the 1800's but was extended recently to the rear. The bathroom and single bedroom overlook the garden and the spacious double room is above the lounge at the front of the property. The bed is really comfortable and the shower has good pressure. The woodburner makes the cottage very cosy in the winter yet the lounge feels delightfully cool in the heat of the summer. The garden can be a sun-trap and is a beautiful space to read a book or enjoy a meal. There are two really comfortable reclining retro chairs to help you relax, unwind and make the most of the garden.
