You can drive or cycle (great cycle path in front of the house ) to different beaches such as Le Gurp, l'Amelie, Soulac and also cycle inland towards the river, la Gironde. One hour drive from Bordeaux recently given world heritage status by UNESCO. You can drop your car at a tram station and take the tram into Bordeaux as it is much more relaxing and much cheaper than trying to park into Bordeaux's very expensive parkings.
