Located on a small hill overlooking Paunch Beach, one of the top surf spots in Bocas, the Tree Bungalow is part of Surf Break at Paunch, a small B&B. Experience a rustic cabin style charm and simplicity, with amazing tree house like views. Enjoy conveniences like a 12ft deck, sitting area, large area for lounging, and a kichenette. The best of what Bocas has to offer - surfing, swimming just a bike ride away, jungle views out your window and town only a 10 minute taxi ride away! The space Here you can wake up to the sounds of Howler Monkeys and tropical birds and fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean from the nearby surf. When you visit us, not only are you visiting an amazing tropical paradise with tons of unique wildlife, beautiful plants and landscapes, but also an epic surf spot right at our front door…with more amazing beaches (for both swimming and surfing) just a short walk, bike or boat ride away! Or, just lounge around in your hammocks on your large 12 x 20 ft. deck, which is partially uncovered for those of you wanting to catch some sun. Both rooms come equipped with hand made custom bed frames, queen sized gel memory foam mattress, extra comfy pillows, soft sheets and fluffy towels. You'll have your own private well-equipped kitchenette, so that you don't always have to go out to eat lunch or dinner. We also provide additional convenience items such as beach towels, free WiFi, and two large bathrooms; each with a huge hot water stand up shower. The two rooms can also be rented separately, by two different parties. See our other listings to find the individual listings. Guest access Guests have access to explore the jungle around us (please bring boots if you intend to) - we can even provide a guide for a few hour hike (works on tips for this service). You will also have access to our shared dining deck. Other things to note We are on a water catchment system. We ask all of our guests to conserve water as much as possible at all times, and during dry periods, there are times we will ask guests to restrict water usage a bit more than normal. We check the tanks daily and will advise guests if we are running extremely low on water. In an effort to conserve water at all times though, linens are changed after every 3rd night. Daily housekeeping is an option our guests can request at any time if they prefer total privacy. We are on a small island in a "developing" area of Panama. Power outages happen occasionally. We will do what we can to help your visit remain comfortable, but there may be inconveniences during those times. We are in the jungle, so you will experience things like mosquitos, grasshoppers, geckos and such. We fumigate regularly but other than that, we respect the fact that we are in their world and sometimes they do get in the rooms. We have mosquito nets for those needing extra “protection” at night. All part of the adventure!
