Description

Handcrafted by Caiçaras from Curral, Ilhabela, it maintains many of the traditions of the old Caiçara houses but with modern amenities. Right on Curral Beach, one of the most famous and agitated in Ilhabela, it is literally on the sand. It is on the same plot of land as the owner's house and where the caretaker's house is also located. READ THE HOUSE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BOOKING The space The Pau D'Alho cottage is distinctive. Handcrafted by Caiçaras do Curral, it maintains many of the traditions of the old Caiçara houses but with modern amenities. Made of masonry but externally coated with wood to help with thermal and acoustic insulation, the wood adds a special charm and gives the chalet the typical caiçara appearance of the beginning of the last century. Located on the sands of Curral Beach, one of the most famous and agitated in Ilhabela, it is literally on the sand. The chalet embraces a leafy Pau D'Alho, overlooking the sea in front and a bed of native bromeliads next door. It is on the same plot of land as the owner's house and where the caretaker's house is also located. In front of the chalet is a Caiçara ranch, which will ensure coexistence with the local culture and fresh fish, and just beyond the sands and sea of Curral Beach. At the owner's house next door, there are lively dogs who occasionally like to bark. Handcrafted with a high right foot, taking advantage of old demolition material and old woods, it brings to mind the old hardwood doors, with latch locks and a “stable” window, also with handcrafted latch locks. Centuries-old pieces of pine, such as the closet door and ventilation shutters, are part of the environment. It was designed for those looking for an atmosphere consistent with the tradition of the place and for those who want to escape the modern and impersonal traditional architecture. It has two single Turkish beds with Density 33 mattresses, which can be arranged together or separately. When together, because they are Turkish beds, there is no gap in the middle. There is a small American kitchen with a counter for preparing super quick meals, with a two-burner cooktop, minibar, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, sandwich maker, mixer and faucet with filtered water. The chalet features a ceiling fan and air-conditioning. The shower is a Lorenzetti Ultra with shower head and shower. Wi-Fi internet available. There is a safe with an electronic lock and an individual password. Parking for a medium-sized car, standard Renault Duster. &&&&&&&&&&&& Curral Beach is one of the best known in Ilhabela. Calm and clear water, perfect for swimming. There is an option for kayaks, sailboats, snorkeling and diving, water skiing and nautical tours ten steps from the chalet. Bars and restaurants on the beach offer a huge variety of excellent dishes. Nearby market and bus at the door. Several delivery options. Numerous leisure options on the beach just a few steps from the chalet: kayaking, standup, sailing, Hawaiian canoeing, speedboat rides, snorkeling, diving, etc. Spend the day on the beach, have fun with a variety of activities, take a nap and then walk a few steps to sit on the beach sand and admire the most beautiful sunset in Ilhabela. PLEASE READ THE HOUSE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BOOKING As the chalet is located on the same plot as two other houses (the owner's and the caretaker's), some care is needed to ensure good coexistence. The chalet accommodates a maximum of two people. Pets are not allowed (there are other animals on the property). . Visitors are not allowed inside the chalet and the grounds, under any circumstances, including using the bathroom. Only guests should circulate on the grounds and enter the chalet. . Avoid touching the furniture against the walls so as not to mark the walls. Avoid speaking loudly. Music and sound must be restricted to the interior of the chalet in such a way that it cannot be heard outside. We value the singing of birds and the sound of the sea, and respect for the neighbors. This care is very important. . nothing should be thrown into the toilet, not even toilet paper. The sewage system is a septic tank with a drain that does not accommodate any material. . use water and air-conditioning sparingly. We are in an energy crisis and, in addition, we need to help preserve our planet. The air-conditioning should only be turned on with the doors and windows closed. . if you need anything, talk to the owner (Fernando) or the caretaker (Jesiel). . to dispose of the trash, leave it in the trash can on the sidewalk of the street in front of the chalet. . In the kitchen, use only the biodegradable detergent that will be provided. . Avoid pouring oil, grease, or any debris into the sink drain. Pre-wash with paper towels and place in the kitchen trash can to be taken to a suitable location. This way, we will avoid pollution of the groundwater and the beach. This care is very important. . The cottage is delivered clean, with two bath towels and two face towels, bed made with sheets and there is a blanket and comforter available. No cleaning services are provided during the stay. However, cleaning services can be contracted directly with the neighborhood staff.
