The space This home was built as a duplex but is now presented as one big, spacious home. It includes central courtyard that allows for lots of room for outdoor seating and activities. The first floor includes one bedroom with a queen and full size bed, a full bathroom, a large dining room, and comfortable living room with a well-equipped kitchen and access to a large back courtyard & deck. The second floor contains three large bedrooms, a second dining room, a complete bathroom with separated areas for the shower and toilet, and a newly renovated kitchen that has access to the top area of the outside deck. There is also a lovely and bright dressing room with a huge mirror that is the perfect space for guests to get ready. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed, the second a queen bed, and a queen and full sized bed in the third bedroom as well as a futon that folds out into a full bed. Guests will have access to both of these amazing units as well as the double deck and HUGE private courtyard out back. The beautiful courtyard in the back connects to a 1900s Gothic brick church that the owners are currently renovating to turn into a wedding venue. It's stunning and from the deck guest will have access to incredible views of this old church, the stain-glass windows bell-tower and gargoyles. If you happen to see the owner at the church during your stay, she would love to give the full tour. It's pretty impressive. The courtyard is also fully fenced-in which is perfect for hosting your pets as long as you receive PRIOR approval (puppy please?). This is a unique property with lots of history. The owners can make themselves available to chat and educate guests if they's like to know more about their unique surroundings. They can accommodate large or small groups and assist in planning the perfect Bourbon Trail experience. Guest access Guests can have access to the entire home, which includes both units of a Historic Duplex in Old Louisville. The units share basement access and can be accessible through 2 mini-stairs (down and then up). Guests can also roam about in the fenced in courtyard that joins the entire property, which includes a church and rear carriage house. This enclosed courtyard makes you feel like your in the country, right in the heart of Louisville. Other things to note The central courtyard has a gas burning fire pit and a wood burning fire pit. There is an upper deck with seating, a middle deck with seating and a large patio with a lounge area and space for outdoor dining.
