Inside the villa The layout is especially well-suited for families and other groups, allowing guests to spend time together while still having space to retreat. At the heart of the home is a central living area with a fully equipped kitchen, indoor dining table, and lounge seating—all oriented toward the ocean views. Large sliding doors keep the space bright, breezy, and naturally connected to the outdoors. The primary queen suite occupies one wing with a private bathroom and deck access. On the opposite side, there’s a second queen bedroom with its own deck access, along with another full bathroom and a bunk room that kids (and adventurous adults) will enjoy. All bedrooms are air conditioned and set up for a comfortable sleep. Outdoor spaces Outdoor living is a key part of the experience at Far Tortuga, and where everyone almost inevitably ends up spending most of the day. The infinity pool sits at the center of the outdoor area, overlooking the Caribbean Sea, with lounge chairs positioned to one side for sunbathing. Just behind, a shaded dining table serves as a natural gathering point. Two pavilion-style gazebos extend the outdoor living space, including one with hammocks, so you can move around depending on sun, breeze, or mood. Just steps away is the shared community dock, where you'll find some of the island’s best snorkeling right offshore, with vibrant coral and marine life waiting to be discovered. Kayaks are also available for guest use. From the moment you arrive until your departure, the amenities at this seaside retreat are yours to enjoy. Guests also have full access to the shared community dock. Exclusions: Please note that access to the parking garage and the home's utility areas is restricted. These areas are designated for private use and are not included in the guest-accessible spaces. A hall closet within the home is also locked off for the owners’ private storage. Privacy & Exclusivity: While regular visits for pool cleaning and yard care occur, we believe in providing you with the utmost privacy during your stay. Other things to note Electricity & Water Conservation Roatan's electricity is privately supplied and costly, and water is a precious resource. We appreciate your help in conserving both. Far Tortuga is designed to capture the easterly trade winds, and many guests enjoy using natural ventilation instead of A/C when the weather allows. Please turn off the air conditioners when not in the bedrooms, and do not run them with doors or windows open. PLEASE NOTE: excessive or improper A/C use (such as leaving them on continuously throughout your stay, or with windows and doors open) may result in additional charges. Power & Internet Interruptions Due to the island's infrastructure, we occasionally experience power or internet outages. These are infrequent and typically brief, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Housekeeping Your cleaning fee covers full cleaning before check-in and after checkout. Mid-stay cleanings (including linen & towel laundering) can be arranged for an additional fee, based on availability. Self-serve laundry facilities are also available onsite, if you'd like to refresh your wardrobe or your own linens. Pets Welcome Far Tortuga is pet-friendly!
