When the weather cooperates put your feet up in the hammock and watch the sheep graze nearby, the blue heron land in Marsh Creek, deer and fox frolicking in the surrounding fields, and the birds singing in the trees. We are sticklers for cleanliness. All of our beds and pillows have protective covers, as well as the mattresses, and our bedding is completely changed after each guest (including comforters). Lee and his forces retreated on July 4, 1863, has low ceilings. Tall individuals should exercise caution when navigating the stairwell landing. Our son-in-law is 6’5” and manages just fine in the cottage, but we like to note the low ceilings.
