OVERVIEW: Completely furnished, centrally located home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen, dining room and living room embody the definition of an open floor plan. Two bedrooms have comfortable queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twins. The upstairs family room features a comfortable, pull-out sofa that sleeps two. The kitchen bar seats 1-22 and the table expands to seat 8 comfortably. FIRST FLOOR: The first floor is accessed by one step from the outside and has one private and quiet bedroom, one full-bathroom, a fully-furnished dining/living room and well-stocked kitchen with jaw-dropping views from every location. SECOND FLOOR: The second floor is reached by 18 stairs. The two private and quiet bedrooms share a full bathroom with “Jack and Jill” access. TOP OF THE WORLD: Three more stairs bring you up to an open family room with high ceilings and unobstructed, 180 degree views of mountains, ocean, and the underlying neighborhood. Great place for a cup of coffee in the morning to watch the sunrise or to sit in the evening with the lights off and watch the city lights. The home is perched on a hill overlooking unobstructed green space. There are two gravel parking spaces on the property. In the summer, a two-wheel drive car is all that is needed to reach the front door but in winter, an all-wheel drive car is a must. Your stay will begin with a self-check-in however, the owner is just a phone call, text or email away if you have any questions. This is not a property managed by a 3rd party. The owner will be communicating directly with you and helping ensure that you have a great stay! Private, little nook of a neighborhood nestled between the base of Mt. Juneau and the Gastineau Channel. Very walkable neighborhood—just a few minutes from favorite local “Coppa” cafe, a family-owned sushi restaurant, a friendly grocery store, a replenishing Salt Cave Spa, a local gym with daily pass access, and a community lap-swimming pool. A 10-minute, scenic walk will bring you to the hustle and bustle of colorful, downtown Juneau, including the popular Mt. Robert’s Tram. From the front door, the trailhead to some of the best hikes in Juneau is just a minute away. There really is no better location for an active vacation to Juneau. It truly has it all! You won’t need a car during your stay. The harbor, mountain trails, downtown, and the famous State Museum are all within walking distance. However, with a car, one can access North Douglas, Eaglecrest Ski Resort, and the Mendenhall Glacier within 20 minutes or less. This was a historic miner’s home that was recently renovated by the Alaskan and Swiss owners over the course of two years. The exposed steel beam that supports the addition of the living and dining room is the beam from the original Juneau-Douglas bridge. Solid hickory floors on the first level provide a very cozy feel to a house that is surrounded on two sides by windows. You won’t find a better view in all of Juneau!
