Your private self-contained B & B suite is located in our residential home on a quiet cul-de-sac on the ‘sunny side’ of Canmore. The suite has in-floor-heat. The suite consists of one bedroom with a king sized bed, a living area, a bonus sunroom, one bathroom, a kitchenette, and very importantly a separate drying room large enough for all your outdoor gear and footwear. It is equipped with drying racks and forced air boot and glove dryers. Your private deck backs onto a forest reserve. Enjoy the views and fresh air while you sip your coffee or enjoy an evening cocktail. A shed equipped with a bike and ski racks is located beside your private terrace so you can safely lock and store your gear. There is a beautifully appointed sunroom for both relaxing and dining. A perfect place to do yoga, meditate or catch up on email. The sunroom has a 2-4 person dining table with rattan chairs, comfy lounger and an ottoman that transforms into a chair or a single bed. The adjacent living room has a sectional couch that easily transforms into a full/double size bed. The living space also includes more comfy chairs, a computer friendly desk & task chair, a TV, and a kitchenette with a breakfast bar. The kitchenette is well equipped with a full size fridge with freezer, blender, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, induction plate, coffee machine, organic teas, dishes, mugs and glassware. Because we know you need and value a good sleep, the king size bed is luxurious and both sofa beds have memory foam toppers, mattress protectors and their own Egyptian cotton and flannel linen and superior quality duvets and pillows. If you like to tidy up during your stay, we provide you with any cleaning essentials you might need. Enjoy a continental breakfast which includes an assortment of locally baked pastries & cookies, locally baked bread, butter, cream & milk, an assortment of locally sourced organic granola, & muesli, fresh fruit, smoothies, snacks and a variety of hot & cold drinks. We stock the suite with cereal and oatmeal but we promise breakfast is not just oatmeal!! The conveniences of our location include a short walk along beautiful forested pathways to the Iron Goat restaurant, Fergie’s convenience store, the Summit cafe, Red Rock Pizza, a liquor store, a spa and more. Ask us about massage and other posh spa services available in Canmore. From your private suite's location you will access hiking trails, high mountain scrambles, para-gliding, popular novice-to-expert mountain biking trails and road biking routes right from your private entrance. Ask us about paddle boarding spots, mountain swimming holes, beaches and water rope swings. Skate on frozen ponds or rent a canoe- we can direct you on where to go. Canmore has world class Yoga and Pilates studios and hosts many specialty getaway workshops. We will give you the beta on the most beautiful drives in and around Canmore, including the Icefields Parkway. We will connect you with the best fishing guides in the area. We will also connect you to guided sled-dog tours, caving excursions, helicopter tours, hikes, and ice walks. We will ensure you have the most up to date cross country ski trail and down hill ski reports. Going into the back country to ski , mountaineer, or climb? We will help you access the most comprehensive weather & avalanche reports for where you are planning to go. We will provide you with a tutorial on how to walk or bike downtown 'the way the locals do it' to maximize your enjoyment, the mountain views and your time. If you don't feel like driving or walking back up to your suite, Canmore's Roam bus service is also an excellent way to get home or where ever you need to go, including Banff. A fun excursion is to enjoy a bike ride on the Legacy bike trail (family and road bike friendly) or x-country ski Goat Creek from Canmore to Banff, enjoy a snack and beverage in Banff, or even catch a movie and ride the ROAM bus back to the bus stop a few minutes away from your suite's door step. The ROAM busses all have bike carriers for your convenience. Guest access There is a private entrance with the option to self-check in via a key code. Parking is worry free. Park your vehicle in our private driveway. You will need to walk down landscaped steps beside the house from the driveway in order to access your private suite. Please contact us to discuss the option to bring your dog along for your stay with us. Please note that we charge a pet fee for your furry companion. He specializes in helping you discover and access the summer and winter mountain activities of your choice, novice to expert. Whether you are looking for wine and romance, rest and relaxation, shopping and dining, family fun, novice mountain play to high mountain adventures or a combo of all the above Barry & Nicole will provide you with the information you need to meet your unique goals for your mountain get away. They have the knowledge and experience needed to point you in the right direction so you get the specific type of quality experience you traveled to Canmore to enjoy. You will have access to maps and guide books for the world class rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, hiking, scrambling, x-country skiing, resort skiing and backcountry ski touring found in and around Canmore. At your request, Barry will sit down with you and help you explore your options. Barry is well known for his story telling, so you may even get a story or two. We can also connect you to Yamnuska Mountain Adventures and assist you in choosing the perfect guided adventure. Whether this is your first visit, or you have visited Canmore many times, we want your experience to be excellent.
