Description
Built in the early 19th century, Church Mouse Cottage has all the charm and character you would expect from a Georgian property. The cottage is beautiful, warm and comfortable making it the perfect bolt hole. A lot of thought has gone into ensuring that this is not just a place to stay but a place to enjoy being. Its location is an ideal blend of being tucked away in complete tranquility whilst still being just a 5 minute stroll from the thriving high street with its many shops, pubs and cafes. The space The cottage is accessed via a small porch, leading on to a cosy, stylish lounge complete with a Morso log burning stove with comfortable seating for 5 people. The lounge leads onto a good sized dining room with seating for 5, stripped wooden floors and a window over looking the rear garden. The dual aspect kitchen has a traditional stable door leading to the garden (with a lockable shed for securely storing bikes, which can be accessed from the back garden gate), the kitchen has beautiful hand made units and oak work tops. It is well equipped with an adjoining utility room which has a dish washer and washing machine. There’s a door leading from the dining room upstairs. The master bedroom has stripped wooden floors, sash window, a built in double wardrobe and a comfortable double bed with an ‘Emma’ mattress and cosy lazy linen bedding. A single floor mattress can be added to the room upon request. The second bedroom also has a very comfortable double bed with ‘panda’ mattress and lazy linen bedding, stripped wooden floors, sash window over looking the garden and a chest of drawers. The spacious family bathroom has a bath with an over head shower, stripped wooden floors and a sash window over looking the garden. Guest access The cottage is reached by a foot path leading off Church street to Church Terrace and so there is no parking in front of the property, although there is ample free on street parking just a 20 second walk away. The village high street, with all its amenities , is easily reached with a 5 minute stroll. There are frequent bus services running from the high street into the coastal city of Brighton and the historical market town of Horsham. Other things to note Up to 2 small/med well behaved, toilet trained dogs will be welcome guests on request. I do not allow dogs to go upstairs in the cottage (there is a door at the bottom of the stairs to make this possible) so please only request if your dog will be happy kept downstairs.
