The Red Haus is set overlooking and close to gorgeous lake Okanagan in the La Casa private resort. The home is located a 25 min drive up the lake from west Kelowna (nearest city) in a secluded park area. The cottage is on the side of the resort closest to the lake (a short 5-10 minute walk to the shore) in a gated private resort called La Casa. The home has a beautiful panoramic view of Okanagan lake and the vineyards on the opposite shore from the well appointed deck and from all bedrooms and living spaces in the home which makes it one of the more unique homes in the resort. The cottage home is roughly the size of a townhome (the average size of homes for the resort) has more privacy than others in the resort as it has no front yard neighbours and is very close to the lake amenities in a small row of just 4 homes. There is parking for 3 vehicles in the driveway. This home boasts an open floor plan that is easy for everyone to spend time together whether you are cooking or just wanting to gather with some board games around the large dining table for some good together time. With air conditioning inside for comfort along with an early afternoon shaded deck there are many options for where to spend your time in this home enjoying the place. With three bedrooms all with serene lake views and comfortable beds, linens, closets for suitcases and extra pillows and blankets for comfort make this a wonderful place to get some real rest. There are two full bathrooms with soaker tubs for your enjoyment and much more. Upstairs: The Primary Master bedroom is the largest bedroom, airy with vaulted ceilings and a comfortable bed . A king size bed, dresser and armoir for storage, a smart TV and amazing lake views make this a wonderful room for rest. A fold out twin bed (convertible from a large comfy chair) for any children that may want to sleep with their parents is here for your use as well. Also included for the primary bedroom is a work area desk overlooking the lake view if the need to check in on work while away arises. The second bedroom upstairs has a vaulted ceiling and also has a beautiful lake view from the comfy queen sized bed. This room also has a bonus of a small upper loft with two full size comfy twin beds in it. This is accessed by a stair case which is steep (many loft stairs are designed the same way for access). For this reason no guests younger than 6 should use this loft. There is a sleeping mat for any younger kiddos who for this reason can sleep on the floor beside the bed. This room sleeps 4 adults very comfortably. There is a closet for guest use. This room also has a smart TV and is a good space for quiet time and rest while parents or rest of the group prepare meals or gather together downstairs. An upstairs full bathroom with soaker bathtub, towels, facecloths and hand towels provided. Shampoo and conditioner, body soap, hand soap and hair dryer also included. Downstairs: The main floor bedroom has a beautiful lake view. This room has a closet and comfortable queen sized bed. If someone has a hard time with stairs, this is a good room on the main floor which only has the three stairs to get up into the cottage. The kitchen is well appointed, well designed and a beautiful space as part of the open floor plan to the dining area, living room and coffee bar area. The kitchen includes a large granite island with 4 stools for easy entertaining as well as a large 8 seater dining room table for all members of your group to spend some good time eating, playing and enjoying time together. We have a busy family of 3 kiddos ourselves so we have tried to have the house set up with the things we know we appreciate as parents as much as possible to make a stay easy. Little kiddos dishes and cutlery and a high chair are here for your use. For those without kiddos we have thought of you too. Newer appliances (including dishwasher) fully stocked utensils, knives, cutting boards, steak knives, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, cocktail glasses, decanter, plastic beach glasses, pots, pans, cooking sheet, pizza sheet, roasting pan, serving trays, cutting boards and more are all here ready to go. Coffee/coffee grinder/tea kettle and tea steeping options station for your use with a Keurig (re usable pods for eco friendly use) and a French press to suit your style in the coffee bar. A main floor full spacious bathroom with soaker bathtub, towels, facecloths and hand towels provided. Shampoo and conditioner, body soap, hand soap and hair dryer also included. Laundry is a stacking unit on main floor with eco friendly washing detergent for your use. In the living room, there is a book collection for quiet reading on the couch or on the deck with some children’s book selections as well. We have a good collection of games and cards including a poker set for fun together times. The open floor plan includes the vaulted ceiling living room for true great room livability. The living room includes a sitting area with smart TV and gas fireplace. This is a good place to cozy up in the winter or summer months for some connective easy time. Dining area sits right next to the kitchen and island area and has a very large 8 seater harvest table for good gathering and food sharing time. The deck is amazing and boasts one of the nicest views available in this resort. Watch the sunrise with your fav morning coffee or tea over the opposite shore where light cascades down the vineyards and onto the lake and the deck. In the warm months, have breakfast al fresco at the outdoor dining table and watch the Okanagan come to life. Read and relax as sailboats and power boats go by and enjoy the warm morning and early afternoon sun. In the afternoon, the sun passes overhead and the deck provides a shaded spot to watch the afternoon and evening arrive. Al fresco evening dining at the outside dining table is a breeze and cooking with the Webber BBQ easy to access and stay visiting with your group. Enjoy the deck gas fire table and comfortable seating area with good company and conversations and on clear nights, the stars put on a breathtaking show. Perfect conditions for dark sky star gazing enthusiasts and sky buffs alike. At certain times of the year, the Northern Lights become visible and put on a show stopping display to take in from the lounge area of the deck. Pets: **are approved on a case by case basis so please notify host so we can discuss further to approve of your request. We want to be able to offer you to travel with your furry family member as well as have guests with no pets be equally comfortable in our home. We have very high cleanliness standards for our home for everyone’s comfort and we know how nice it is to be able to have a pet travel with you. To be able to continue to offer this option and accommodate everyone’s needs we must be able to discuss any pet guests prior to accepting of booking and approve them accordingly or they cannot be allowed. Usually, One dog of 60lbs or less size, that is completely house trained and able to keep off of all furniture inside and out of home, to be kept on the main floor only (baby gates provided to make this easy) and crated when left in home alone etc. And the dog if wet must be dried off completely on deck before coming inside are a few rules for the home. The resort is also a strata managed property so dogs must be on leash at all times. Pet messes must be cleaned up immediately and disposed of in pet waste areas around the resort and house or fines will occur. Please let host know if you are wanting to add your pet and we can discuss if this works. We have hosted many great guests with their pet with great success so we want that to be able to continue. More examples of strata by laws at the resort: Max 8 guests per cottage including children. Speed limit on resort must be followed and direction of traffic on certain streets. Quiet times must be followed. 11pm -8am There are no parties allowed at the resort and is subject to fines and possible termination of stay. For small family celebrations, there are no decorations allowed to be taped or fixed to any walls or surfaces in the home. This can cause damage easily if not followed and is not allowed. Resort: Grocery delivery, Order from save on foods in west Kelowna and get your whole order delivered for less than $10 dollars and save your shopping time The resort boasts 2 heated large pools and 3 hot tubs (**as of end of Feb, 2026 the 2 lower hot tubs are currently being replaced and are behind schedule for opening day, this could also affect access to the lower pool area into season. Host will update as soon as the resort knows more), mini golf, driving range net, tennis and pickle ball courts, lake beach area, floating water park areas, playgrounds, general store with cafe offering coffee, pizzas and other selections, ice cream and frozen drink options make this a fun resort to be at. In the warmer months, golf carts are available for rental from the management area as well as paddle boards and kayaks. The beach area is accessible to golf carts but not cars. Cars will park at the lower parking lot close to the beach and water park area, about a 5 min walk to beach area along a trail. **aqua park at the beach requires life jackets for kids up to 12 to use the aqua park. Also waivers must be signed to use the park as of this June (24). There is a well maintained hiking trail on the road right below the cottage which is quick access to the beach and water park areas with a switchback hiking trail. The beach is a rocky natural beach (mandated to be so as a salmon habitat) so water shoes for little ones and adults is recommended. The lake is clean and clear. In the summer months it is quiet nice and refreshing. A breeze floats by often and sailboats and water sports boats regularly travel by. The dog beach is located at the lower parking lot with a marked staircase down to the beach. The boat launch is available in summer months and is narrower and a little steep. Fintry park is a 5 minute drive away where there is a large boat launch for ease of use. Usually the pools and hot tubs, and most amenities are closed for the season by Canadian thanksgiving. They are open usually in beginning to middle of may (depending on weather patterns). The cottage sits in the midst of Fintry park and reserve. This over 360 hectare park is a nature lovers paradise. With beautiful hiking trails across the la Casa development and gorgeous view point spots with places to eat and take in the views. Hiking trails and ATV trails connect into Fintry park set right behind and beside the development. As this is a resort we have cameras on the property around the exterior to help with security. We also have doorbell cameras at each front and side door and cameras in front and back decks. The house also has an alarm system which we will deactivate during your stay for ease of use. In the summer, Fintry park has a boat launch and park area with historical area to explore The Okanagan is wine country. There are some of the best wines in the world made here in this region and the cottage is surrounded by vineyards a 20-30 min drive away to suit your preferences. In the winter, Silver star mountain resort is a large mountain resort just less than an hour away door to door with amazing champagne Okanagan powder in the winter to explore. This mountain offers 10 high speed lifts and a variety of ski fun as well as tubing hills and ice skating with a lovely village with cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Big White is a little further at an hour and a half away. It is a large resort with a larger village and 12 ski lifts. Both hills are family friendly mountains with ski schools and full services. Kelowna and area reside on the land of the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the syilx/Okanagan people. Opportunities to discover Indigenous arts and culture exist throughout the city and its surrounding communities. Kelowna is a 30 min drive away from the cottage and offers a rich history of the indigenous people to explore with tours, museums, art galleries and more. Guest access Guests can access (once registered with the management company) all guest areas and guest amenities open at the resort during their stay Fintry park trails can be accessed from the resort as well. Other things to note **this home has a full business license to operate as an STR in BC** Community rules and strata by laws must be respected and observed for everyone’s enjoyment. Not doing so will result in fines the guest will be responsible for. The max guest count is 8 including children. There are exterior cameras at the cottage for security, at the front door, side door and back deck. We also have an alarm system which we will deactivate during your stay for ease of use. Grocery delivery is a snap of ordered from save on foods in west Kelowna center and will be delivered to your door for less than $10 *currently there is a boil water advisory for the resort due to a brand new water UV treatment plant installed on the resort that is not yet functioning the way it should. To ensure no issues for our guests and their stay, we have newly installed a UV treatment and filtration system in 2025 at the house so that no matter what is happening with the new treatment system, the cottage has clean and safe water to drink. An extra measure to take care of our guests. **as of end of Feb 2026, the resort is replacing two of the hot tubs for larger and more modern ones at the lower pool area. Work on the hot tubs was due to be completed as of May 2026 but has had some delays and will likely not be ready for opening. Due to this there the upper pool and hot tub area will be open and the lower pool and hot tub area may be closed into the season. The resort is trying to get construction to move to schedule but unforeseen delays have gotten in the way. Guests may not have use of the lower hot tubs and possible the whole lower pool area until further notice.
