With an interior designed to make your stay most comfortable, we have included a premium sleeper sofa (American Leather) as well as a bedroom with two twins together that create a king sized bed, and the master bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed. Spacious two bedroom condo with 12 foot floor to ceiling windows, & a 400 sq foot private terrace all tucked away on the grounds of the Grand Traverse Commons. There is a TV in the living room that has streaming capabilities ONLY (sorry no Cable TV). We provide private laundry facilities and detergent as well as a fully equipped kitchen to allow for cooking-in. The entire building has recently been converted into condos as a part of an ongoing revitalization project of the historic state hospital grounds. This unit provides one of the largest private balconies in the building, perfect to enjoy gorgeous spring/summer/fall days sipping a beverage from one of our neighbors! Additionally, we offer reserved covered parking for one vehicle, and many outdoor parking spaces are available for any extra vehicles at no cost. There is a parking garage accessible by keypad entry with one parking spot for you. Additional parking is provided across the street from the building. Both are free parking. The Village at Grand Traverse Commons is a unique redevelopment of dozens of historic buildings formerly known as the Traverse City State Hospital, and previously, the Northern Michigan Asylum. The site’s pastoral landscape of expansive lawns, walkways, paths and historic arboretums, is surrounded by over 480 acres of preserved parkland, woodland, wetland conservation areas, and hiking and biking trails. The Village at Grand Traverse Commons has great restaurants, shops, breweries, art, farmer's market on Saturday morning, not to mention the wonderful tours of what was formerly an asylum. It located less than 2 miles from downtown Traverse City and offers free bus service to and from The Commons that runs every 10 minutes. There is a dedicated parking space in the garage for guests. There is ample outside parking throughout the property and is free of charge. There is a bus service that runs from The Commons to downtown Traverse City. We have Baby Quip in Traverse City. If you need a pack and play, stroller, high chair, games, toys, or anything else, this service has it all. They can deliver before you arrive and pick up once you’re on your way home! If the reservation is 14 days or longer there will be a required mid-stay clean. This is also available upon request for a shorter length of stay.
