Doulas Lodge is a serene thatch villa, in a peaceful Sandton suburb, perfect for relaxation, amidst the excitement of Joburg life. It is located close to the highway, for easy access to the rest of Johannesburg, with Sandton City just 20 minutes away. The space Douglas Lodge is a beautiful thatch villa, located in a quiet gated community in the peaceful Sandon suburb of Norscot. The house itself is spacious and tastefully decorated. The lounge, with its high thatch ceilings, contains comfortable sofas, a smart TV complete with DSTV and Netflix and a cosy fireplace for the cooler winter nights. The lounge is adjoined by a large sunroom, with a dining table and further seating around another fireplace, which opens onto the pool-side garden. In the pool-side garden, there are sunbeds, a dartboard, a thatch lapa and a brick braai making it perfect for either relaxing or entertaining. There are three double bedrooms which also open out to the pool area (one ensuite), with the large master bedroom on the other side of the property (ensuite with shower) containing a comfortable king-size bed, as well as bunk beds for children. Upstairs is a further twin bedroom (ensuite with bath). All bedrooms contain a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee. The kitchen is well equipped, including a gas oven and stove, allowing you to continue cooking during load-shedding. The property also has an inverter powering the WiFi, TV and all the mains lights, making Douglas Lodge close to load-shedding proof. Upstairs is a meeting room (with bathroom) containing a large conference desk and seating. A printer and projector can be provided upon request. The room also contains two sleeper couches which can be made up upon request. The property offers ample parking space for multiple vehicles. On the other side of the garden is a tennis court (rackets and balls provided), as well as a basketball hoop (ball provided) for the more energetic.
