Walk to local shops and restaurants, take a drive down the Blue Ridge, play a round of golf in the spring and summer or hit the slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain (8 min) or Sugar Mountain Resort in the winter (30 min). Take a ride on the Alpine Coaster (30 min) or walk across the Mile High Swinging Bridge at Grandfather Mountain (30 min). Do some shopping at the Tanger outlets (5 min) or take the kids to Tweetsie Railroad (8 min). Visit the town of Boone (15 min) and take in a football game at Appalachian State University. Blowing Rock is truly a year round destination! Please note parking is limited to two vehicles maximum.
