Williams is at 7,000ft above sea level and averages 70” of snow per year. Snow typically starts in late November and can last as late as June. The snowiest months are December through March and the snow amounts can vary greatly from year to year. If you choose to travel in Northern Arizona during the winter months you should be prepared to drive in the snow. Look ahead at the weather forecast as your trip gets closer and plan ahead. The website Az511 is a great resource for road conditions in Arizona. A vehicle with AWD is recommended. If you don’t have AWD, have tire chains with you and know how to use them. Keep extra food, water and blankets in the car in case you are stuck somewhere for an extended period of time. We will shovel the driveway and front walk to the door of the home once a storm has finished. Be prepared to shovel yourself if needed. Most online travel agencies (like Airbnb) offer travel insurance at a reasonable price. If you are making a reservation during the winter months you may want to consider purchasing the insurance in case the winter weather prevents you from getting to the home.
