Originally a blacksmith shop built in 1800, this historic home has modern amenities with unique details. Enjoy birdwatching out the kitchen picture window or sit on the back porch overlooking your private waterfall. Three bedrooms each have tvs and a den with a convertible full size futon. Two dedicated work spaces for remote work and soak in the deep jacuzzi tub after a long day. A beautiful lake and miles of trails minutes away. 30 min from Mohegan sun, the beach, 1hr to two ski resorts. The space Featured in Best Cabins in Connecticut: The house is surrounded by a babbling creek, complete with its own wooden bridge, and flanked by two waterfalls. The luscious garden features different blooms in every season, with twinkling lights that emerge at sundown for a resort like feel. Downstairs, you will find the Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, Den and a Bathroom. Host your perfect dinner in the exquisite dining room with garden and waterfall views. The chandelier and sconces have dimmer functions so you can set the ambiance of your choice. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and cooking utensils for your use and has new, stainless steel appliances. The center of our home surrounds a classic Amston river rock wood burning fireplace and features a 75" TV and surround sound for premium viewing and gaming experiences. There is a PS4 + VR Headset and games hooked up for your use and a microphone set for karaoke in the closet under the stairs. The TV has Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+ & Apple TV to watch any hit show you like. The remote can be found in the loveseat storage compartment. Both couches feature two reclining seats and have chargers for your phones and other devices. The den can be your personal office, reading room or 4th bedroom. The desk is set up with a monitor, keyboard, wireless mouse and ring light for video calls. Simply plug into the USB and HDMI ports on your laptop. The futon folds out into a comfortable full size bed. Upstairs, you will find 3 large bedrooms. The master features a king size bed, reading lamps, and a 75" TV with surround sound- this room is set up for relaxation. An adjustable, pillowtop mattress provides comfort in every position. You will wake up to scenic treetop views where you can watch the sky change colors at sunrise or sunset. The second bedroom has a full sized bed with a memory foam mattress. An L-shaped desk has a perfect scenic office view that overlooks the creek that cascades down in a series of waterfalls through the trees. A 55" TV sits at the foot of the bed. In the third bedroom, you will wake up to stunning garden views and natural light with windows on 3 sides of this room. Includes a memory foam full size bed and twin bed, as well as a 42" TV. Both bathrooms feature a shower/tub combination. Shampoo, conditioner and bodywash are provided. The upstairs bathroom is a deep jacuzzi soaking tub. Our home is a smart home and is Alexa enabled throughout. Use Alexa for basic commands, like listening to music or a podcast, or to turn off and on the lights and TV. Guest access There is a multitude of parking available. You may use the main drive, parking in front of the garage (3 spots), or the side drive to the left of the house. There is a Tesla charger available for use in the driveway. Other things to note 2 stand up paddle boards, 2 bikes, and 3 fun floaties available for recreational use. Outdoor firepit table in the garden and full outdoor dining table overlooking the waterfall. We have a gigabit speed internet connection supported with mesh routers for reliable work from home support throughout the home and patio.
