"Dramatic Views" is a nautical retreat in Lake City, MN with dramatic views of Lake Pepin. The main floor has a large living room with a wonderful bay window and window seat, that offers amazing views of Lake Pepin, sail boats and paddle boats, eagles and the bluffs of Wisconsin. There is a queen leather sofa bed and lots of additional seating, plus a large flat screen TV and an electric fireplace. The living room can be closed off by the drift wood sliding barn door to convert the living room into a fifth bedroom. The large dining room is furnished with a custom made farmhouse table that comfortably seats 12. There is also a first floor bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed and a large tiled bathroom with an over-sized step in shower on the main floor. The remodeled kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and a unique Cafe space off of the kitchen with a pass thru counter between the Cafe and the kitchen. The Cafe features a counter high gathering table that seats 4. It's the perfect space for that early morning cup of coffee for the early risers of the group, dining, games cocktails and, of course, just hanging out. A large laundry room/pantry is just off of the kitchen and has great additional storage for all those vacation goodies that everyone brings. Off of the Cafe toward the rear of the home is a second large living space or "family room" that features another flat screen TV, lots of seating and a beamed ceiling. The family room also has a dramatic view of Lake Pepin with a second wonderful bay window and window seat. Just off of the family room is a very comfortable three season porch and off the other side of the family room is an attached, spacious two car garage. Outside you'll find lots of outdoor seating, two fire pits, a weber gas grill and a patio table with umbrella. This arrangement offers the perfect outdoor setting to relax, relive the fun day and to enjoy family, friends and the dramatic view of Lake Pepin all over again! The second floor has three additional nautical bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed, a flat screen TV and dramatic views of Lake Pepin and the beautiful bluffs across the lake. The second bedroom is a charming room with two twin beds tucked into their respective alcoves. The third bedroom or the "Crew Quarters" is a large room with a queen bed, two twin beds, a flat screen TV and a seating area. The upstairs also has a full bathroom with a tub/shower. All linens are provided and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need. We know that you will find this home spacious, comfortable and the perfect venue to bring family and friends together! The entire house and yard are available to you and your family during your stay! The driveway can accommodate 5 vehicles and there is ample parking on the side street. We live less than a mile away from Dramatic Views and are happy to welcome you and show you the details of the home. After you are checked in, we are available when needed via a text or phone call! If you are not comfortable with a personal check-in, there is a keypad entry and we are happy to walk you through the details of the house while on the phone. We can also send you a written tour of the home via a text or email. "Dramatic Views" is located across from Lake Pepin in the Mississippi River Bluffs on the beautiful Hwy 61 "Great River Road". With it's central location and the newly completed bike path right in front of the home, you'll find that everything you need is a bike ride (bikes are included in your stay) or walk away. You'll find Lake City to be very walk-able with shops, the beach, a sailboat marina with a light house, along with numerous restaurants nearby. Watch sailboats, river barges and the "Pearl of the Lake" Paddleboat from the comfort of this home. Enjoy Hok-si-La County Park with it's swimming beach, walking paths and amazing lake and bluff views. Frontenac State Park is 10 minutes away and also has amazing hiking paths and bluff views to offer. There are 3 fabulous golf courses nearby and amazing wineries so you can taste the best wines the bluff vineyards have to offer! The National Eagle Center in nearby Wabasha and historic Red Wing, MN are "must sees". Both are just a 20 minute drive from Lake City. "Dramatic Views" is just blocks from downtown, the marina, restaurants, shops, the beach and Patton Park with it's lovely gazebo and fountain. There is a walking and biking path right in front of the home and bikes are available for your use. Even though this looks like a new listing, "Dramatic Views" is an existing 5 star vacation rental through VRBO since 2014 and we are experienced hosts. We owned The Meier Inn, a 5 star Bed and Breakfast in Wisconsin for many years.
