Relaxation Shores is perfect for a family beach vacation to Fort Morgan, an area of Gulf Shores. The home is a one-minute walk to the private beach access. Relaxation Shores was updated in the fall of 2021 with a new roof, flooring, window treatments, and furniture. One of our favorite amenities of the house is the crow's nest. This is the perfect place to stargaze and enjoy a panoramic view of the neighborhood. Relaxation Shores sleeps six guests. We do not host pets at this home. Highway 180 is a scenic stretch of road between Alabama’s beautiful Gulf Coast to the south, and Bon Secour Bay to the north. The highway connects downtown Gulf Shores to the tip of the peninsula at "the Fort" and Fort Morgan Ferry, which goes to Dauphin Island. The drive down Old Fort Morgan Highway is visually stunning. The road rambles through undisturbed Southern woods and past the wide waters of the Little Lagoon before opening to a dramatic northern vista where Mobile Bay meets Bon Secour Bay. Come experience the Fort Morgan lifestyle and enjoy the beach the way it was intended, where Southern charm meets a bohemian atmosphere and unforgettable vacation memories are created. Relaxation Shores is perfect for a family beach trip to Fort Morgan. The home is less than a one-minute walk to the neighborhood's quietest private beach access. In the fall of 2021, Relaxation Shores was updated with a new roof, flooring, window treatments, and furniture. One of our favorite amenities of the house is the crow's nest. The close proximity to the beach access is perfect for running back and forth to the beach between snacks. We hope guests love our beach home as much as we do. Relaxation Shores can accommodate up to six guests comfortably, utilizing one king bed and one queen bed and two twin beds (not bunks). We do not offer sleeper sofas. The interior living space is 1,100 square feet. Like most beach homes, our house is on pilings. The main level of the home is elevated, so guests do need to climb stairs to access the main floor of the home. There are no interior stairs. The front door is up the stairs on the south side of the home. There is a keyless entry on the door. Guests will be given the access code to the keypad prior to their arrival. Upon entry into Relaxation Shores, guests are greeted by a bright and airy living, dining, kitchen area. This open-concept layout is perfect for entertaining friends and family. The flat-screen smart television. Guests are to sign in to their own app accounts and are responsible for signing out upon departure. This is the perfect space to enjoy family and friends over a board game or late-night movie. The kitchen is fully stocked with more than the basics; pots and pans, a drip coffee pot, a K-cup coffee maker, a tea kettle, and ample utensils. If we have not stocked an item that is needed, please let us know. Please note that the home will occasionally have coffee, sugar, creamers, salt, pepper, and olive oil. However, we do not stock these items. There is no ice machine. Guests can snag a bag of ice from the Sassy Bass Quick Shop or Sassy Bass Market, both of which are within two miles of the house. The bar seats four and the kitchen table seats four. The master beachside bedroom can be found on the southwest side of the home. It has a king bed, nightstands with reading lamps, a privacy door, and an open closet with storage space for luggage. The guest bayside bedroom can be found on the northwest corner of the home. This three-piece bath has a cast-iron tub/shower combo. We offer fresh linens and bar soap. Please do not take our linens to the beach. Underneath the house, guests will find the laundry room and half bath combo. The full-size washer and dryer are for guest use. Although we offer a starter pack of laundry detergent, guests should always supply their own detergent for extended stays. Our outdoor shower is also downstairs. It offers hot and cold water. There is nothing better than showering under the stars. Please always use the outdoor shower prior to, or in lieu of, showering indoors. The sand is hard on our pipes. Relaxation Shores has a Weber charcoal grill. Guests are responsible for bringing all of their BBQ supplies. Please pull the grill out from under the house before grilling. Our beaches are quiet and not publicly accessible. Although downtown Gulf Shores is 20 minutes away, there are plenty of places to eat and have fun on our side of the island. Please respect our belongings to avoid charges. Breaking the rules will most certainly be handled through Airbnb if we cannot come to a satisfactory conclusion on our own. No one likes having to deal with a problem during a vacation, but life happens. As long as guests are up front and honest, they will find that we are very reasonable and agreeable hosts. Welcome to the Emerald Coast of Alabama. Beats Working Vacation Rentals has homes across the entire island, from the western end of the Fort Morgan peninsula all the way to Orange Beach in the east. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, two of Alabama’s premier beach towns, are separated by the 10 miles of lush greenery and undeveloped coastline that comprise Gulf State Park. Gulf Shores stretches westbound towards the Fort Morgan peninsula, where guests can travel to Dauphin Island via the Mobile Bay Ferry. Orange Beach, located east of Gulf Shores at the western end of Perdido Pass, features not only sugar-white sand beaches but also a group of small islets known locally as the Orange Beach Islands. These islands are popular spots for boating, beaching, and bird-watching. Any of our guests can receive a discounted rate on a guided sail boat tour of the Islands. Please reach out to us for more information. In the meantime, guests can get a glimpse of the area from the comfort of home with our birds’ eye drone tour located on our website. The Gulf Coast of Alabama is a sunny and picturesque beach sanctuary. This desirable area has charming architecture, as well as amazing views of our Emerald Coast, Mobile Bay, Bon Secour Bay, Little Lagoon, and the coastal waterways of the Ole River. Guests find themselves in paradise with our beach vacation homes and cottages. Our Fort Morgan properties are located primarily in the Surfside Shores neighborhood on the southwestern side of the peninsula, just minutes from two of the nation’s top-rated golf courses—The Peninsula and Kiva Dunes. In addition to the Surfside Shores neighborhood, we have homes on the Bon Secour Bay of the Fort Morgan peninsula, homes in the Waterway Village of downtown Gulf Shores, in the West Beach area of Gulf Shores, in Orange Beach, and in Foley, lovingly deemed by the locals as “Gulf Shores North.” Guests can walk to the beach using their feet. Golf cart rentals are also available. This contact information is sent upon reserving the home. Uber services our area. We are happy to recommend a local driver if guests prefer to book with someone directly. Beach Information: - Swimming in the Gulf of Mexico is much different than swimming in a pool. It is important to respect the strength of the water and to protect the marine life that lives in our area. Guests can check the surf conditions before heading to the beach. Riptides are a serious concern for the Fort Morgan Peninsula. To ensure guest safety, please pay attention to water conditions. Always check the tide and weather conditions before getting into the Gulf of Mexico. To receive a daily text with surf conditions and beach flag information, text ALBEACHES to 888-777. - Beats Working Vacation Rentals has homes near numerous nature preserves. Wildlife is in the area and the locals strive to protect the wildlife. When walking around the neighborhood, guests should be mindful of where they step. Guests could potentially see snakes, rabbits, coyotes, alligators, turtles, sharks, sting rays, jellyfish, and other creatures. Do not disturb the wildlife. Luckily, most of these guys do not like to socialize. - Do not leave beach equipment on the beach overnight. Our beaches are home to endangered sea turtles during nesting season. Beach gear is a serious hindrance to their nesting success. - On that same note, it is highly important to respect the sea turtles, especially during nesting season, which runs May through October. It is a Federal offense to disturb a sea turtle or its nest. In an effort to help this endangered species, despite what others do, do not leave beach equipment on the beach overnight and do not leave on bright floodlights. The floodlights disorient the baby sea turtles, which results in a very sad ending to their lives. If the Fish and Wildlife department can pinpoint a home's floodlight to a disturbed nest, they will charge the guests with a Federal offense. Help us care for our endangered species. - A special note for guests staying on the Fort Morgan Peninsula: If guests wish to recycle, they have to take their items to the firehouse by Sassy Bass Market. The recycling facility accepts aluminum, cardboard, and plastic – no glass. Beach Equipment: - Beats Working Vacation Rentals does not offer beach chairs, umbrellas, tents, or other beach gear at any of our beach homes. We do, however, supply beach towels, and we also provide contact information for our favorite beach equipment rental companies. These companies can supply you with all of your beach fun needs, including tents, chairs, umbrellas, and more. Please refer to your check-in message for more details.
