Newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms with beautiful granite counters. View of Broughton Street from the front bedroom and living room. View of Barnard Street from 2nd Bedroom. NEW: We have a monthly customer 24/7 Robinson garage access card for one vehicle which will cover your entire stay for 1 car! City of Savannah SVR 00837 The space This beautiful second floor condo is situated downtown in an ideal spot for anyone who wants to be within very easy walking distance of City Market, River Street and the entire Historic District of Savannah. This residential condo building is above the Banana Republic Store. Broughton Street is literally right outside the building door with Urban Outfitters, World of Beer, Flying Monk Noodle Bar, Goose Feathers, Leopold's Ice Cream and so much more. There are 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Tall historic windows that allow you to people watch over one of the busiest shopping and dining areas downtown. The two bedrooms are separated by the kitchen, each with their own en suite bathroom. Each has a real door. Dining counter, flat screen TV and open-concept kitchen/living room makes the the perfect central hub for your group. ***There is NOT a "toddler bed" but you are welcome to have a child sleep on the sofa. Keep in mind 4 adults maximum is the capacity but a 5th is allowed if it is a child We know you may have more than 1 car and for those extra cars we recommend the City of Savannah Visitors Parking Day Pass which is a paper you can buy in person from the Visitors Center that covers metered on-street spaces or the nearby public garage for $15 per 24 hours and $24 per 48hours. If you skip buying that pass simply pay the garage attendant upon exiting for daily parking in the Robinson Memorial Garage. Guest access This is a secure residential building with a coded entry from the street, and this condo is on floor 2. You will not share space inside the dwelling unit, as it is a private rental. Respect your neighbors. Now rowdy groups! Other things to note I wanted to mention that Savannah has certain bugs which we can control to some extent with poison (which every hotel and vacation rental will use on perimeters) but guests still can see them, even if they’re slower and dying from walking across poison barriers. Specifically palmetto bugs are prolific here. If guests see one we do not issue any refunds due to seeing these. This is the busiest area of our downtown. This is generally what most people want! But some people are a bit stressed by the chaos, especially since there is "nowhere to park" to unload at the entrance, when all the legal metered spots are taken then leaving your friend with the car in the alley while you unload is the common strategy. Then move the car to the city garage one block away after you have taken bags up. Also the Historic District protects original building features including windows. Yes the windows are single pane and no we cannot replace them with modern windows. They are solid wood frames with single pane glass as required by Historic Preservation ordinances and we provide "white noise" machines in the bedrooms to drown out the random city noises and aid suburban dwellers in sleeping in this environment. Events, holidays and stays during March & April may require 3 night minimums and/or have higher rates than the standard ones published. This is a traditional vacation rental home, not a “bed and breakfast”. We do not provide food or drinks but we do provide basic cooking and serving utensils, a coffee maker, and dish soap. Downtown Savannah has a major supermarket (Kroger) and a 24 hour market (Parkers on Drayton) so there is no need to pack everything from home if shopping when you get here makes more sense. What to bring with you: A typical grocery run prior to arriving at your vacation home would include coffee, beer/wine, milk, eggs, butter, bread and any other basic groceries you would need for the meals you eat in the home. When it comes to coffee, bring your own k-cups. The loft has a Keurig coffee maker. We do not typically provide coffee but if you find coffee in the loft please feel free to use it. You should bring or buy your own napkins, laundry detergent, your own beach towels and beach gear, and your own cooler if you need one. What we provide: We provide toilet paper (2 extras per bathroom), liquid hand washing dish soap, bathroom soap, sheets on each bed, and at least one bath towel for each guest. We do not permit our towels to be taken out of the house which is why you must bring your own towels if you visit the beach. If you find we have left seasonings, oil, dishwasher pellets, or any unopened food or drinks then of course feel free to use what is there. We occasionally leave items but just cannot promise them all the time. Please also note that in Savannah, sugar ants can smell cookies, spilled sugar or syrup, or an open sugar container from a mile away and will find a way in through a windowsill or door frame. It can be somewhat like a cartoon picnic where they march in a line to find the food. To avoid this try to keep your snacks contained in air tight baggies, the refrigerator, or buy single serve packets and put the trash in the outdoor trash cans as soon as possible. The following is standard Savannah Luxury Rentals information: We provide sheets, toilet paper and soap. If you prefer thick cushioned toilet paper bring it along but use it sparingly in our older plumbing and never flush "flushable" wipes or other products that are likely to cause a clog.
