Bar Harbor oceanfront log cabin 10 mins to Acadia

Our modern log cabin has stunning views of Frenchmen Bay in a very private, serene location. With 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms & one large loft) /2 baths it is the perfect spot for a family or two to enjoy. Whether you enjoy sipping coffee on the deck, sitting by the ocean, or exploring the tide pools by the shore, there are many areas to enjoy. In Nov 2021- the cabin had full bathroom renovations & all new decor. Our other property is Bar Harbor Cedar Chalet. The space Located down a long, quiet, tree lined road the cabin is directly on the ocean. It is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. You might see one of the eagles or osprey swoop down to catch a fish. The occasional seal may pop their head up while swimming by. Deer can be seen grazing around the woods. The shoreline is a great spot as well to explore the tide pools and hunt for sea glass at low tide. Feel free to launch kayaks and paddleboards from the beach. You can bring your own or they can be rented on the island. Just remember the water is cold, 58 degrees in the summer, and that there are 12 foot tide changes between low and high tide. We own the only other house on the street (400 ft uphill from the cabin) that shares the beach access. Just 10 mins to Acadia, 15 min from downtown Bar Harbor, and 15 minutes to the quiet side of the island, it is a quick trip to most places on the island. There are many quaint lobster pounds and restaurants within a five minute drive of the house including the top ranked lobster pound, The Travelin Lobster. Local favorites also include Sweet Peas and Mainly Meats. All have great outdoor dining. Like lobster? We have everything you need to cook up a great lobster dinner at home. We rent Saturday to Saturday during the season. 4 night stays are possible during the off-season. We have a firm no pet and no smoking policy so all guests will be comfortable in the house. No parties as well. The primary guest renting must be 27 years or older. We have beds for 7 but would permit one additional child to sleep on an air mattress or in a pack n play. We have an outdoor camera by the front door that looks at the driveway. Guest access We are 15 minutes to the town village area of Bar Harbor. There is parking for up to 3 cars at our house.
