Former owner of the Château de Brinville, Marcel Arland, born in 1899 and died in 1986, was a writer and academician, he gave his name to an emblematic room of the castle. Owner of the castle for many years, he left his mark through the most spacious suite of the estate. A great man of the time, he received the Goncourt Prize in 1929 for "l'ordre", a long novel of training. The only suite in the estate was dedicated to this man at the height of his career.
