Photography and Presentation: The photos of our villa were professionally taken under direct sunlight and during a staged photoshoot. While the villa appears pristine in these images, it has been a beloved home to many satisfied, returning guests. 2. The oceanfront platform is to be used at the user's own risk. The owners expressly disclaim any liability for injuries sustained while using the platform. Diving and the use of the ladder are strictly prohibited. Individuals who choose to jump into the ocean must swim back to the beach, located approximately half a mile away. Only proficient swimmers should consider jumping and swimming, and this should only be undertaken in conditions of calm seas. 3. Condition of the Villa: Guests should note that the villa, while well-maintained, is not in brand-new showroom condition. Some minimal wear and tear from regular use and occupancy are to be expected. 4. Windows and Airflow: The villa has shutter windows typical of island properties. These are not completely airtight, reflecting the open-air lifestyle of Curacao. 5. Tropical Living and Wildlife: Living on a tropical island like Curacao means embracing the outdoors, including local wildlife such as iguanas, mosquitoes, and other insects. Air conditioning is provided only in the bedrooms. 6. Ongoing Maintenance and Updates: Over time, items in the villa may be replaced with comparable alternatives. While we strive to keep our photos updated, some minimal discrepancies may exist. 7. Utilities: Essential services like electricity, water, internet, and sewage are maintained by third-party providers. The respective companies will address any issues with these services as quickly as possible, and the host cannot be held responsible for interruptions. 8. Pool and Garden Maintenance: Regular maintenance of the pool and garden is essential for a pleasant stay and is conducted weekly and monthly, respectively. Due to logistical constraints, these maintenance activities may occur during your stay. 9. Security at Coral Estate Resort: The villa is located in the guarded Coral Estate Resort, known for its security and safety. However, as with any community, the resort is accessed by numerous individuals, and the host cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings or for any damage due to flooding, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events. Air Conditioning Usage Policy We are pleased to offer air conditioning (A/C) in the bedrooms of our rental home to ensure your comfort during your stay. To provide you with the best experience while also maintaining energy efficiency, please carefully review the following guidelines: 1. Complimentary A/C Hours: The A/C units in the bedrooms are available for your use free of charge from 7:00 PM to 10:00 AM daily. This usage equates to a total of 50 kWh per day. 2. Extended A/C Usage: Should you wish to use the A/C outside of these complimentary hours, we kindly ask for a deposit of $70 per day, with a minimum charge of $35 per day. This deposit covers an additional 70 kWh, which typically suffices to keep the bedrooms cool throughout the day. 3. Energy Efficiency Tips: To maximize efficiency and avoid unnecessary costs, please ensure that bedroom doors and windows remain closed while the A/C is running. Also, be mindful of setting the temperature to a comfortable level that does not excessively strain the unit. 4. Post-Check-Out Settlement: Upon your check-out, we will calculate the actual electricity used. Any remaining balance of your A/C deposit will be refunded to you within 10 working days. Please note that any extra A/C usage beyond the provided kWh will be charged at $0.50 per kWh. 5. Important Consideration: On the island of Curaçao, A/C is only provided in the bedroom areas. The living room and kitchen are designed to be naturally ventilated and pleasant when windows and doors are opened, allowing the cool island breeze to flow through the home.
