The space The private guest apartment is connected to the owner’s home but has its own separate entrance and is fully locked off from the rest of the house, allowing guests to enjoy both privacy and the convenience of hosts nearby if assistance is ever needed. Set on 8 wooded waterfront acres overlooking Harraseeket Cove and South Freeport Harbor, the property offers a peaceful coastal Maine setting surrounded by nature and wildlife. The apartment features a comfortable king bed, a twin-size pull-out sofa suitable for a third guest, a full bathroom with walk-in shower, kitchenette, smart TV, fast WiFi, and comfortable seating areas designed for relaxing after a day exploring the Maine coast. The porch and nearby patio area include outdoor seating and a grill for enjoying the fresh coastal air and peaceful surroundings. Guests also have access to the property’s waterfront area and 2 sit-on-top kayaks for exploring the tidal cove and harbor depending on tides and weather conditions. Whether you’re visiting for kayaking, hiking, shopping, dining, or simply relaxing by the water, the apartment offers a quiet and authentic coastal Maine getaway just minutes from downtown Freeport. Guest access Guests have access to the property’s waterfront area on Harraseeket Cove and South Freeport Harbor, including use of 2 sit-on-top kayaks and life jackets for exploring the tidal cove and surrounding coastal waters depending on tides and weather conditions. The property’s wooded setting and waterfront location make it a great place for kayaking, wildlife viewing, relaxing outdoors, and enjoying the peaceful coastal Maine atmosphere. Guests are also welcome to use the sauna, side patio and grill located behind the apartment, basketball hoop, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, and pétanque (bocce) set. A dog wash room is also available to help keep Fido clean after outdoor adventures. Please note that the property sits on a hill overlooking the water. Waterfront access requires walking down stairs and along a forested path, which may become muddy or slippery depending on tides, weather, and seasonal conditions. Other things to note Dogs may be allowed with prior owner approval. Please contact us before booking if you plan to bring a dog. Unfortunately, cats are not permitted. Some longtime guests may remember our beloved dog Nelson from older reviews and guest comments. Nelson was a special part of the property for many years, but he has sadly passed away and there are currently no other dogs living on the property. The guest apartment is attached to our home but is fully separated with its own private entrance, allowing guests to enjoy privacy while still having hosts nearby if assistance is needed during your stay. Closet areas within the apartment are private, though guests are welcome to use any available hanging space or dresser drawers provided within the apartment.
