Rustic Log Cabin-Near Skiing/Fireplace & EV Plug

Our cabin was built over 50 years ago and fully renovated in 2021. We are located 40 miles from the Asheville airport; a short drive to the ski resort, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Harrah's Casino and Biltmore Estate. Hiking, skiing and hot springs are nearby. Relax on the porch or grill out near the fire pit. Spacious kitchen for family meals; bathrooms on both levels and several gathering areas. Cozy up to the gas fireplace, play a record or enjoy a puzzle in the nook. Easy access, 14-50 EV plug. The space Our cabin is set up to provide maximum family enjoyment. We have a game nook where you can gather to listen to classic records, put together puzzles or play board games. Our family room has a gas fireplace (seasonal use October to March), a 50” television and plenty of room to relax after a long day of hiking, skiing or exploring. Our fully stocked kitchen has all the items needed to prepare a family meal, including a crock pot, bakeware and pots/pans and spices. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a full bath. We spent over a year renovating the entire cabin to bring it up to our high standards of what we would want to see in a short term rental property. We hope you will enjoy spending time here as much as we do. Vacationing with your motorcycles? We are motorcycle and trailer friendly! Our road is paved and we have a wide, flat driveway to park and store your motorcycles and trailer. We can easily accommodate a 20’ trailer to make your stay worry free and enjoyable. Interested in an open air experience, but don't have a motorcycle? Between June and August, rent our Polaris Slingshot on Turo- special discounts for guests! We know that being in the mountains means you want to enjoy your time outside. We have set up several outdoor areas for you. Out front, our porch has Mountain Views and space to relax. We have feeders for hummingbirds in the summer. Sip your coffee while our mountain birds glide back and forth from the forest to the feeders just above your head! Our covered back patio has a game room and plenty of chairs to enjoy the sounds of the creek just beyond the split rail fence. The porch has plenty of space to relax and socialize. Continue out back and there is a spacious grilling area and a large fire pit with plenty of chairs for the whole crew! Bring your s’mores fixings, this oversized fire pit is perfect for making tasty treats! We have an outdoor game room for the days when the weather is not the best. Want to keep the kids busy? There is a full sized ping pong table, ring and hook game, giant Jenga and a large connect 4 game. In addition, we have corn hole boards just begging for a game! There is plenty of seating for the whole family, including a custom wood bar and two rocking chairs for that steamy hot cup of coffee or that cold craft brew at the end of the day. We also have a 50" television with Amazon streaming and all your favorite apps to stream from your personal accounts. A note about the space- at Creekside Cabin Rentals, we understand how important family is and we always welcome children. Being that this cabin is almost 50 years old, there are parts of the cabin that are not child proofed. We encourage parents to consider this when deciding to book our space. Parents, if you are traveling with children, please be aware of potential hazards and take responsibility for your child's safety. Guest access We have parking available for 3 vehicles or 2 vehicles and a trailer. If you are bringing a trailer, please message us prior to booking to determine if there will be space. Please do not block the driveway, garage or entrance to the private residence above the detached garage. Other things to note Please Note: Guests are expected to have read & be willing to honor house rules. No gatherings/parties allowed, only booked guests can be there at any time (unless discussed/approved). Please be aware we are in a mountainous area with no trash pickup. We have two trash cans for your use. Please remove any trash from the property that does not fit in the cans, as there is wildlife in the area. On-site we have an EV outlet (50 amp) which is free for guests. If you are planning on using the charger, please message the host directly for the charger location and instructions. Outside we have a grill, corn hole boards and plenty of space to spread out at the fire pit. Our cabin overlooks the valley and there are views of several mountains. We have a desk area in the kitchen with a CAT 6 outlet for faster internet speeds. We provide starter toilet paper, paper towels and washer/dryer supplies. We welcome you with snacks and bottled water and coffee with cream/ sugar for your first morning with us. When it’s time to cozy up to the fire pit, you can purchase wood from us directly (honor system). Feel free to burn any downed limbs you find on the property, but do not cut live trees or shrubs. There is a hose next to the basement door to put out your fire at the end of the night.
