Welcome to Black Pearl! This second floor apartment is one of two recently renovated units, just steps away from the Village of Lake Placid. Our home is located just below Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, NY and is the perfect getaway for friends and families to enjoy. The house itself was recently renovated to have all the modern amenities (including ones you might expect from a resort hotel), but also has the thoughtful charm of being your home away from home. STR-300022 Enjoy your morning coffee curled up on the sofa, or an afternoon cooking up some dinner in our kitchen. We have everything you need for the perfect getaway, whether you love hiking, skiing, swimming, relaxing, cooking, adventuring or all of the above. The Living Room is our favorite spot to enjoy in the house. Lounge on the leather sofas, switch on the Smart TV (where you can easily sign into your Netflix, Hulu, or other streaming account) for movie night or the big game, or enjoy one of our board games with your group. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen and dining room, with a table large enough for your group to dine together. Sleeping Arrangements Black Pearl - Unit 2 has two bedrooms and can sleep 4 guests. With 1 King Size Bedroom, and 1 room with Bunk Beds, you will find room for your group to spread out. Our bedrooms feature Casper Mattresses, quality linens, and are thoughtfully decorated. The king bedroom has a spacious closet with shelving, while the bunk bed room has a dresser so you can comfortably unpack for your stay . Each room has its own climate control so that guests can adjust to their individual preference. The Kitchen The Kitchen is equipped with all new appliances and finishes as well as cooking utensils, pots and pans, general spices, and basically all the tools you need to make morning pancakes, spaghetti bolognese dinner, and everything in between. (Groceries not provided.) For morning coffee, there is a coffee machine (with coffee provided), but please also feel free to bring along your favorite roast. You will find all the dish ware, serve ware, and drink ware you need for your group to dine, but don’t worry, we have you covered with a dishwasher too. Bathrooms There is one bathroom in Black Pearl - Unit 2, a full bathroom with a combination shower/tub. The bathroom is stocked with toiletries, a hair dryer, and super plush towels. Also in-unit is a washer and dryer for your use. The entire unit is yours for the length of your stay. Please note that the parking area is right off the road and you need to walk down stairs to access the unit. The check-in will be contactless and keyless. Before you arrive, we will send you the code to the door lock. If you have any questions or issues during your stay, please message us through the booking channel. Nestled on the South side of Whiteface Mountain, the house is a quick 15 min drive to the Whiteface Mountain ski slopes, 10 min walk/2 min drive to Mirror Lake, and 10 min walk to Lake Placid Village. The location is perfect for winter skiing, sledding, and snowboarding. In the fall, hike below the beautiful foliage, and in the spring/summer be sure to check out Mirror Lake, more hiking, antiquing, and local farms & vineyards. There are a handful of markets nearby, including a supermarket as well as a couple of wine & liquor stores for your convenience. This house is so well located that you will find great Food & Drink options moments away, including Generations, ‘Dack Shack, Ere’s Pizza Ristorante, Redneck Bistro, Simply Gourmet Bakery, Kanu, Cocoa & Dough Co., Great Adirondack Brewing Company, and so much more. If you are looking for the great outdoors, there’s something for everyone - year round. A quick 15 min drive gets you to the base of Whiteface Mountain, the fifth-highest mountain in the U.S. state of New York, and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. Set apart from most of the other High Peaks, the summit offers a 360-degree view of the Adirondacks and clear-day glimpses of Vermont and even Canada. Whiteface's ski area boasts 90 trails stretching over 25 miles and encompassing three peaks. In the summer months, enjoy the Adirondack High Peaks from the comfort of an eight-passenger, high-speed gondola cabin, on the Cloudsplitter Gondola Ride. You can also hike a variety of trails of every level to explore the mountain, which is particularly amazing in the fall months as the leaves are turning colors. During the warmer months, you can zip over to Mirror Lake, just 5 minutes away by car. Enjoy a 2.7 mile stroll (or run!) around Mirror Lake in the center of Lake Placid. This is a flat, scenic loop that's perfect for as many laps as you like. Or canoe, kayak, stand up paddleboard, or aqua bike across this gorgeous 128-acre, one-mile long lake. Lake Placid Public Beach a summer dream come true. Its sandy beach has a pier and a launch site for canoes or kayaks, there's a changing facility, tennis courts, and even a playground for the kiddos. Nearest airport: Lake Placid Airport – 5min drive from the house. Nearest train station: Ferrisburgh-Vergennes – 1hour and 30min drive drive from the house. Nearest bus station: Lake Placid Amtrak Bus Stop – 3min from the house location. CHECK IN The check-in will be contactless and keyless. Before you arrive, we will send you the code to the door lock. PARKING Please feel free to utilize up the parking space which can hold up to two cars throughout the length of your stay. Note that we are not responsible for personal items left in your car. HOUSE ACCESS The entire unit is yours for the length of your stay. Note that this unit does sit along a main road and occasionally the traffic can be heard from inside. OUTSIDE GUESTS If you'd like to add an additional guest to the booking, please be sure to add them to the reservation or reach out to Stay at Lina team if your stay has already begun. We can typically accommodate up to the max number of guests noted on the original listing and no more. We cannot offer customer service for extra people who don’t have an official reservation through the platform, and any liability waivers won’t apply. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS SECURITY Stepping out of the house? Keep your belongings safe and secure by remembering to close and lock all the doors and windows before leaving the property. CHECK OUT Our check-out time is at 11:00 AM. Please make sure to do the dishes (it’s ok to place the remaining dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle), take the trash out and close the door before leaving. Don’t forget to do a final walk thru of the house to make sure you haven’t left behind any personal items. RECYCLING Guests can leave the recycling items on a separate bag in the house. Cleaning team will take care of it after guests leave. ITEMS LEFT BEHIND Please note that we are not responsible for any items left behind. Lina will make every effort to search and find your forgotten items after you check out but we do not guarantee if they can be found. FRIENDS OF MOTHER NATURE Please note that we are located in the countryside, surrounded by trees and foliage. Although we have regularly scheduled pest control services in and around the home and yard, you are still likely to see a few insects or other living beings from Mother Nature. We ask that you do your best to keep outside doors closed as much as possible to limit the amount of outdoor creatures from sneaking in. PETS We love pets and allow them in our houses, but please let us know if your are bringing your furry friend(s) along. Please understand that all of our furniture and decor is new and pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. You will be responsible for any visible wear or damage your pets may cause. The maximum number of pets we allow is two. REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE We cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, air conditioning, appliances, TVs/media equipment, stereo equipment or pools/spas. Please report any inoperative equipment to us promptly. We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. If you demonstrate that the problem persists after being given phone instructions by our team, a maintenance service professional may be dispatched. NO REFUNDS OR RENT REDUCTIONS WILL BE MADE DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURES OR MALFUNCTIONS, INTERRUPTIONS OF UTILITIES, MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS OR CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA. WHILE LINA WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REPAIR ANY MAINTENANCE ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER, IT CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ISSUE WILL BE FIXED DURING A GUEST STAY, AS THE COMPANY MAY HAVE TO GO THROUGH HOME WARRANTIES. Lina will always look for alternative solutions to ensure and prioritize guest comfort.
