Aunt Wes', as we like to call her, was our home for over 15 yrs, she's a happy home! Enjoy the beauty of a historic home with modern upgrades and amenities-including a spacious kitchen, large bedrooms, playrooms, a treehouse and a fish pond for the kids to enjoy! Located near the Pearl, Witte Museum, San Antonio Zoo, Doseum and minutes from downtown San Antonio. Broadway is a mecca of local restaurants, shops and bars, a lot of them walkable from Aunt Wes' House! Permit #STR-25-13500188 The space Aunt Wes, the Texas Sized Bungalow is a renovated 1927 home! We like to think every area provides a cozy place to curl up and relax. The front porch is spacious and perfect location to wind down. The back yard allows space for children to run, play in the treehouse and watch the fish swim. An outdoor fire is a family favorite of ours. The main bedroom has a king size bed, walk in shower, large closet and TV. It leads outside to the covered porch. The front two rooms, one a queen, one two twins, share the large double sink bathroom with the original clawfoot tub. Both lofts are located off these rooms. All rules must be followed while using the loft areas. The back bedroom has a queen Murphy bed, which allows for a quite work space and a nice view of the fish pond when needed. The kitchen is renovated with a dishwasher, updated cabinets, countertops and appliances. The dining room is attached for easy socializing for all. And don't forget to snuggle up in front of the fireplace on the oversized, super comfy, couch in the living room! My beloved Aunt and Uncle lived on the street in the 70's, so the location is personal for us. Signs of them are everywhere in the house. Peacock feathers and antlers are small influences of their eccentric taste. As we move through this process of sharing our home, we will showcase his artwork throughout the home, I am sure it will be an ever changing design! We do not live far from the property and are able to quickly help, if service is needed. I was born and raised in San Antonio, so please do not hesitate to ask for suggestions! We are within walking distance from many great attractions! Less than $10 should get you there! Guest access Two cars fit in the driveway, street parking is also allowed on our side of the street. No parking tag needed. There are a TON of restaurants, bars, family friendly places within walking distance. The Witte, DoSeum, Botanical Gardens, Sunken Gardens, The Zoo, Brackenridge Park to name a few. Other things to note Our Texas sized Bungalow can accommodate 10 guests.
