The space Family & Worker Friendly Adventure Lodge is situated in a small neighborhood that is peaceful, quiet, and comprised mostly of single family homes. It's safe, and families ride bikes and take walks along the community streets. Our home is nestled amongst a hardwood forest. The backyard is moss covered and has a great stone fire ring encircled with slate & adirondack chairs. Inside has been newly remodeled with all the luxuries & amenities you could imagine. We've also created a very special adventure outdoor playhouse for the younger ones. Besides the 3 bedrooms there's a gameroom, and a sunroom/playroom for extra space. There's a full futon in the sunroom, but presently it is not on central air; there's an electric fireplace there as well as an air condition. Perfect for reading, playing, or watching the children playing in the back yard. You'll have full access to the home and property, except the 2 small owner closets, and outbuildings/shed. Guest access Parking is free and easy. We have a fairly long drive, a covered carport that will accommodate 2 low profile cars and a 2 vehicle parking area outside the carport. 4 or 5 cars can easily park, or up to 2 vehicles with 18' trailers. Lots of open space for you. Other things to note The North Carolina Zoo, world's largest natural habitat Zoo is a GREAT family attraction, and is less than 10 minutes away. ZooCity Sportsplex, a new 80 acres sports complex is just 10 minutes away with beach volleyball courts, a fitness court, multipurpose fields, pickleball courts, an inclusive playground, and walking paths. The Lazy 5 Ranch is a drive through ranch ~ 1 hr. away. There you can hand feed and touch the animals. It's tons of fun for everyone! The Lodge is 5 minutes from Downtown Asheboro, and convenient to local attractions: - High Point & Greensboro are about 30 mins. away. - 4 Asheboro Golf Courses < 15 minutes away. - Seagrove Pottery- Pottery Capital of the World- 10 minutes away. - Richard Petty Museum- 20 minutes out. - Pinehurst Golfing is < 50 minutes away. Uwharrie National Forest is really close by also, with all kinds of outdoor activities available: hiking, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, canoeing, kayaking, boating, a shooting range, lakes and rivers, many 4 wheel drive trails, and even an Off-Road Vehicle Training Facility nearby.
