The Chapel is located in the heart of Staveley village, midway between Kendal and Windermere, providing a convenient base to explore the Lake District. Forming part of a former place of worship, The Chapel has been extensively refurbished to a high standard, including the addition of an en-suite in March 2021 and a fully fitted kitchen in 2022. Retaining a traditional cottage feel with modern conveniences, the downstairs comprises an open-plan kitchen and living space as well as a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Upstairs includes a double bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite, and a twin bedroom with an additional trundle bed for a fifth guest. There is off-road parking for 2 cars and a small, enclosed garden at the rear overlooking the River Gowan. Staveley is a thriving village with numerous cafes, an artisan bakery, a pub, a grocery store, a newsagent, an ice cream shop and a playground. All within 160 yards of The Chapel. Superb walks ranging from strolls to full-day hikes can be enjoyed from the door for those not wishing to be too dependent on the car.
